Stayed last summer for a week. This place needs new management. They never answer the phone. Never return emails. Campground gets bigger every year but more run down and miss managed. Fifth wheel trailer beside us left their dog on the fold out patio every night when they went out. Dog barked nonstop for a week and security did nothing. Bathrooms are disgusting and washer and dryer’s not working all week. Just a heads up you will get the same old excuses. We only have two people on staff, we get hundreds of emails and calls a day. We will have more staff when we get busy. Blah Blah Blah. Spend a little extra money on gas and stay elsewhere. Never again.

I'm sorry your experience was less than ideal. I know it's like beating a dead horse at this point with the communication. It can be difficult to get through because the volume is insane. Our we have 2-3 staff in the office during a shift, and they are always helping walk-in customers, answering phones, returning voicemails and emails. We are never not answering phones and emails. This volume didn't exist prior to 2020, and we honestly assumed it was a one-off due to all the uncertainty with the virus. In winter 2019, we would come into the office in the morning to 5 voicemails, not 80. When it became apparent that the increased volume wasn't going to die down anytime soon, management started to roll out several excited changes. Notably, we will be upgrading our online bookings, so guests can check availability, and book themselves. We are looking at call center and satellite office options (we can only fit so many staff here in the office), and we are in the process of moving away from an answering machine system to call queuing. With the advent of call queuing, when you call, you will be kept on hold until the next guest service agent is available. Management are also rolling out new security and pet protocols, specifically to address noise whether from pets or campers themselves. Campers will get a warning, followed by a fine, followed by eviction. In previous years, security would simply give warnings. Going forward they will have a lot more bite to go with their bark. Remember it only takes one messy guest to make a washroom look disgusting. During the high season we have 13 Janitors on site, doing a constant rotation of the showers, washrooms, and buildings. No washroom should be unattended for more than 30 minutes. As for the laundry machines, they can certainly be out of order for a week (or longer). It all depends how long it takes for the repair tech to make a service call. During the high season, they can be just as swamped as we are. We do however have 18 washing machines and 18 dryers spread out over 4 separate laundry rooms, so there are plenty of back-ups. I hope you come back and give us another try. Despite your claims, I believe the RV Park is getting better and better every year. We encounter problems and snags, like any business, but we are always trying to adapt and improve.

We have been going to Nkmip campground every year since 2009 for two weeks in the summer. The campground itself has nice sites and a great lakefront view which is why we always rebooked for the next year. Their reservation staff have messed up our reservations several times in the past , and this year once again they booked other people in our sites even though we emailed in our reservation request for 2021 for the same two week period and same sites as the years before ... which we have first priority when you stay for two weeks to get your same sites/ dates for the next year. I am writing this review to maybe get the attention of someone at the campground to call me back or email back as we have tried and tried to call and email with no answer. I have no idea how they can run a business like this. There’s one email and one phone number to call , both are useless. To Nkmip : contact me ASAP as this is getting ridiculous! Maybe this trip advisor review will finally get your attention??! Good luck to all the other people trying to reserve.

Campground had everything you could want. Our site was on the lake. Boats, sups, canoes, and more to rent. Lots of places to walk. Wine tasting and 9 hole golf course close by. Walking distance to town. Fruit stands close by. Grocery store and restaurant on site. Great place to stay for a few days or a few weeks.

We booked two spots at this campground to see the area and do some golfing. We were charged $60 per site just to book them. It does say this on their booking site. However when the smoke rolled in from the US we were overwhelmed by it in the Nelson area so thought it would be worse in Osoyoos area so we chose to head east and home. There is no way of getting hold of anyone at this campground to cancel as they never answer the phone and their message box is always full. Emailed too but got no answer until we just didn’t show up then they called right away. Interesting! There needs to be a way to cancel without penalty especially a week in advance. We’ve never run into this before but have never had to cancel before either. Very poorly run business and won’t be back.

I apologize for the communication breakdown that has plagued us this year. We have experienced an unprecedented level of calls and emails; over ten times the volume from 2019. We have brought in extra staff and work stations, but we still couldn't keep up. Things have started to settle down now, but from May to October it was unbelievable. While we were on the phone with a guest, ten other calls would go unanswered. We would come into work with 300 new emails, and a 100 voicemails (the limit of our machine). Before we even get a chance to start responding to calls or emails the flood of emails and calls begin again for the new day. That's on top of the line of of people waiting to talk with us in person (who get helped before the phone). It is part of the front desk team's regular tasks to check sites for issues, and call any no-shows to check their status. If you don't arrive, we call you to see what's going on. We're fully aware when we make those calls that you may have tried to get through but might not have been able to. Our booking fees are applied to the balance of your account, and are non-refundable regardless of notice. This is a very common policy, although some RV parks may give refunds with 2+ weeks notice when not in the high season. A apologize once again, and ask you don't judge us based this issue as it's definitely not normal. 2020 has been a strange year for everyone. I hope you can give us another try. I'm confident if you to stay here, you would love it.
