We arrived to find the indoor pool and hot tub were not working. The rental Equipment was not open. When we asked what they were willing to do for us, they said nothing. You can loose your deposit and go somewhere else. They never cantacted us to give us an opportunity to rent somewhere else. Everything was busy for the week. Also they started trimming hedges at 8:00 in the morning. So much for sleeping in. I wouldn’t recommend this place

We spent 1 1/2 weeks here in October, and loved it all (except for the bird cannons at the vineyards). My husband is in a wheelchair, so getting around is difficult most of the time, but the disabled facilities here are top-notch! We were given a key to access the wheelchair accessible showers, which were wonderful, and staff went out of their way to make sure we were accommodated. We also travel with our Samoyed, and there are lots of places to take him for walks, dog areas including poop bag stations, and a dog friendly beach! It was awesome!

We just left there on Sunday after spending 3 nights. I had mentioned to you earlier in the spring about no one answering the phone or returning messages. That was not the case this time as we phoned to book a spot and a fellow answered the first time. Plus he was nice to deal with. So a huge step up from our past experiences. Also the cannons at this time this year, were not as frequent during the day plus they started around 7 am versus 6:15. We did notice online reservations but hadn’t tried it or noticed it in previous years. Maybe new this year?? Anyways, a much better overall experience this year. Good job !!

Loose pets, horrible campers singing horribly and loud with an electric guitar blarring past 11:00pm. No one said anything or did anything to stop them. Zero privacy at sites, so different than it was years back, didn’t see anyone do a clean on the campsites not even visually after campers left sites. So disappointed ☹️ May never return to Osoyoos again!

Very clean , supper good location , tight sides ,and unless you are not a return camper you will never get closer side to the lake even for one night even tho sides are empty next morning, if you are ok to walk to the lake for 10-15 m with serious Lung disease, this is absolutely a perfect RV park for you , maybe they should consider handicap spots at some point .

Room Tip: Just look for something closer to the lake if you would like a beach

The front desk staff seemed uninterested when asked questions."I don't know" is not the most helpful. The picnic table was disgusting! The site wasn't raked of debris. Although there was a bathroom attendant I'm pretty sure they just couldn't keep up by themselves as the stalls were filthy dirty. Two toilets sat full all day Sunday, right into Monday. The showers were gross, full of hair and sand. The beach has so many cigarette butts, caps and garbage around that you couldn't safely walk without shoes. All the sites are packed so tightly together that you can't breathe. We were welcomed by our neighbors who promptly told us to move our vehicle so they could hook up their sewer beside our tent. Then there was the neighbor behind that smoke weed non stop, and the place is busy all day and night. No fresh air to be had. This was supposed to be a nice adventure for a first time tenter. We won't be back.

Just spent two weeks here and had an amazing time. Staff are wonderful, helpful and friendly. Lake is very warm and great for swimming or floating in. Sites are clean and the waterfront spots are great. Couple of places to dine and get an ice cream. Lots for kids to do. Will be going back again next year for sure.

Hi there. I can’t seem to get through on the phone line. I understand you must be busy. Do you have any availability in July 2021? Looking for 2 spots. One 33 foot motorhome and a 29 foot trailer. Full hook ups. Thank you!

Response from nkmip camp, Guest Services / Front Office at Nk'Mip Campground & RV Resort

Hey there! We are slammed, sorry for the communication breakdown. We do have several more team members joining us next week, which should help make things easier. Please email us at info@campingosoyoos.com. We do get hundreds of emails per day, but we try and our best to work through them. And definitely keep trying the phone. It's always ringing, and we're always answering, but we can't answer all of them. If you keep trying, you will get through eventually!

Stayed last summer for a week. This place needs new management. They never answer the phone. Never return emails. Campground gets bigger every year but more run down and miss managed. Fifth wheel trailer beside us left their dog on the fold out patio every night when they went out. Dog barked nonstop for a week and security did nothing. Bathrooms are disgusting and washer and dryer’s not working all week. Just a heads up you will get the same old excuses. We only have two people on staff, we get hundreds of emails and calls a day. We will have more staff when we get busy. Blah Blah Blah. Spend a little extra money on gas and stay elsewhere. Never again.

Response from nkmip camp, Guest Services / Front Office at Nk'Mip Campground & RV Resort
Responded Feb 22, 2021
I'm sorry your experience was less than ideal. I know it's like beating a dead horse at this point with the communication. It can be difficult to get through because the volume is insane. Our we have 2-3 staff in the office during a shift, and they are always helping walk-in customers, answering phones, returning voicemails and emails. We are never not answering phones and emails. This volume didn't exist prior to 2020, and we honestly assumed it was a one-off due to all the uncertainty with the virus. In winter 2019, we would come into the office in the morning to 5 voicemails, not 80. When it became apparent that the increased volume wasn't going to die down anytime soon, management started to roll out several excited changes. Notably, we will be upgrading our online bookings, so guests can check availability, and book themselves. We are looking at call center and satellite office options (we can only fit so many staff here in the office), and we are in the process of moving away from an answering machine system to call queuing. With the advent of call queuing, when you call, you will be kept on hold until the next guest service agent is available. Management are also rolling out new security and pet protocols, specifically to address noise whether from pets or campers themselves. Campers will get a warning, followed by a fine, followed by eviction. In previous years, security would simply give warnings. Going forward they will have a lot more bite to go with their bark. Remember it only takes one messy guest to make a washroom look disgusting. During the high season we have 13 Janitors on site, doing a constant rotation of the showers, washrooms, and buildings. No washroom should be unattended for more than 30 minutes. As for the laundry machines, they can certainly be out of order for a week (or longer). It all depends how long it takes for the repair tech to make a service call. During the high season, they can be just as swamped as we are. We do however have 18 washing machines and 18 dryers spread out over 4 separate laundry rooms, so there are plenty of back-ups. I hope you come back and give us another try. Despite your claims, I believe the RV Park is getting better and better every year. We encounter problems and snags, like any business, but we are always trying to adapt and improve.

Campground had everything you could want. Our site was on the lake. Boats, sups, canoes, and more to rent. Lots of places to walk. Wine tasting and 9 hole golf course close by. Walking distance to town. Fruit stands close by. Grocery store and restaurant on site. Great place to stay for a few days or a few weeks.
