The WiFi is really, really bad (and remained so over the two weeks of my visit). I often struggled to do work (or watch a show at night). The hotel's photo gallery on their website doesn't show that there is a Boston Pizza attached to the building with an outdoor patio that sometimes blares loud music. Many of the rooms are directly above the patio and you can hear people talking or yelling. Be warned if you have young children who need to sleep before 10pm. At the same time, though, I did like the room. And the service is great - the staff are very friendly and offer good advice about the region. I just found it difficult to enjoy a part-work and part-vacation trip without WiFi and trying to sleep above a bar.

So, first I'll admit that the resort overall is decent. Pretty nice in some ways but we ran into a few issues in our 3 night stay. First, the pots, pans and utensils in our suite was a joke. For a room that costs more than $400 a night this should not happen. Old, damaged and dirty. The service in the restaurant was extremely slow. Good food but just way too slow. Here's the worst part of the whole experience. Before I booked this resort I read several reviews about migrant workers in the area using the pool, hot tubs and restrooms. I figured since that was several years back and the responses from management seemed to indicate they were addressing it etc... Well, we used the pool 3 times and 2 of those times we saw the same 3 guys there that didn't belong there. They had there clothes with them at pool side and it was so obvious that it wasn't funny. One of them was in the hot tub in white underwear and walking around that way. They had plastic bags with clothes in them and one of them had a pair of steel toe work boots on the deck with his socks hanging out of them. These guys did everything but shoot a flare in the air to tell on themselves. Come on! Lastly, want to improve your security and maybe get more eyes on this and other issues? GET YOUR STAFF OFF OF THEIR CELL PHONES! Even a few of the housekeeping staff are cleaning with their cell phones in hand as well as standing in front of their carts, in the hallway, texting. Almost every time I saw a staff member on the elevator or a maintenance worker etc.., yep, on their phone texting. We are going to Osoyoos again in August and thankfully we booked another resort. My Wife asked me not to book this one again. She didn't feel safe.

Stayed for a family reunion. hotel accommodated a Booking error for one party which was fabulous. Room was spacious and quiet we booked third floor away from the pool and Boston Pizza. Sink in master bedroom was plugged it took two days to fix it and had to ask twice. Pool was pretty good and was loved by the kids.

Dear Guest, Thank you for choosing Watermark for your family event! I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay overall, despite the delay in unclogging your sink. Our pool area and water slide is certainly one of the many draws for families. Glad your kids loved it! We appreciate your feedback and look forward to welcoming you back again soon! Dear Guest, Thank you for your glowing review! It's great to hear that your party had a great time and that the kiddos found lots to do during your stay. I'm sure the water slide and beachfront property certainly helped with that! We look forward to welcoming everyone back again soon. Janine Salmond Guest & Owner Relations Coordinator

This was our second year in a row staying at the Villas at Watermark, and they are showing their age. The carpets were stained, the screen door was broken and there was garbage left on our patio when we arrived. It felt like they were in a rush and didn't fully clean up before we checked in. Also, the pillows were really lumpy, even though the rest of the bedding was clean and comfortable. That aside, the location is fantastic. It's great to have the outdoor patio and bbq, and out the back door is the lake with the beach and grass area to hang out, with the option to go to the pool or hot tub, and play beach volleyball. Can't complain about the location. Lots of amenities available nearby...almost anything you might need. This place is great for large groups, as you can cook and bbq and entertain very well in the villas, and the outdoor space is beautiful. A few touchups and it would have been a 5 star review.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your most recent stay! I'm glad you found our location convenient and we able to take advantage of many of our amenities on site and nearby. We are constantly doing upgrades to the property, as subtly and noninvasive to our guests as possible. This winter we replaced all the carpets in the suites, and hope to do the hallways next. I'm terribly sorry to hear that you felt your suite had not been cleaned as thoroughly as it should have. I will forward your comments to our housekeeping manager for review with the team. Thank you again for your review and we hope to welcome you back again soon! Janine Salmond Guest & Owner Relations Coordinator
