Too much money for what you pay for. Lots of things not working. Housekeeping was just ok. Kitchen not quipped well enough. Restaurant closed 2 days. Better off staying at some of the other resorts. Nice pool though and beach and location.

It doesn't get any better than this in Osoyoos. Right on our own private beach, two hot tubs and a great pool. Staff that do anything they can to make your stay a success and Don Brogan, the manger is as good as they get. He made sure everything was exactly as requested and runs a very tight ship. Underground private parking, great WIFI signal for the kids, individual fire pots in the evening on the beach! WOW Than you Walnut Beach and see you again for our the 7th year in a row! S and L

We really enjoyed the stay there. It lived up to our expectations. The beach is private but very small so we (mostly my 6 y.o. boy spent more time at the pool, which was great. We had a room overlooking the lake and pool area. The room ( a one-bedroom suite) had a fireplace, 2 flat screen TVs and full kitchen, with in-room washer/dryer.whic was really convenient. A couple of comments on the negative side: There was no binder or info in the room about hotel/area amenities or location as most hotels provide this. We had to ask questions like how to access pool, where is fitness center, etc. Secondly, the food & beverage service poolside was slow or non-existant. Third, the solid wood bedpost in the bedroom extended several inches beyond the mattress' Being dark9-stained wood against a dark brown carpet it was hard to see causing some serious toe-stubbing and shin-banging. The mattress should be longer or bedframe shorter. Minor things but irritating none the less.

we stayed for 4 nights. my sister stayed last year and raved about the place so we all decided to go this year. 3 sets of families. the sauna had an 'out of order' sign the whole time we were there. one of the bbq grills was not working so there was a wait to use the rest. this was unacceptable seeing as the restaurant was closed for 2 days so people were wanting to use the bbq grills. we were told no outside drinks permitted at the pool or beach but the restaurant was closed! what were we supposed to drink besides water? the slats for the blinds in our living room and my sister's were broken!! we had to place a cushion against the broken slat to keep the sun from shining in our face at 5am (we used the pull out bed). the tap in the kitchen sprayed water everywhere. there were used beach towels left in the hallways and in the shower room floor by the pool. people would come down to the beach early and lay their towels on the loungers to save them so by the time we came down (at 9AM), there were hardly any loungers left. there were more towels on the beach than people. so it doesn't matter that the beach was private and easily accessible if there is nowhere to actually sit down. there was no enforcement about not saving loungers at the beach or pool. for the amount amount we paid ($424 a night!), we expected more than what we got. much more.

We came here last summer (family of 3) and stayed in a Semillon suite. We enjoyed our stay so much, we booked a few weeks right after that trip for this year. My sister and her family, plus my husband's parents decided to come as well, and in total we booked 3 rooms. Similar to other reviews, I was disappointed with the resort and their amenities this time around. For the price we paid (we stayed 4 nights, 5 days in a Studio Suite w/ Mountain View), we were not impressed with their lack of amenities. 1) The restaurant was closed for 2 of the nights we were there due to being short-staffed. This is peak season (summer), therefore to have the restaurant/bar closed for 2 days/nights is unacceptable. Outside drinks are also not permitted on the beach and pool -- the bar was closed for 2 days. 2) One of the outdoor hot tubs wasn't working, only 1 was available, and hence, it was always full. 3) The sauna was also out of order. 4) One of their outdoor BBQ grills wasn't working, and with the restaurant closed for 2 nights, the line up got quite long at dinner time, especially with 1 grill not working. 5) The sink in my in-laws' suite would not drain so for a couple of hours, they could not use the bathroom sink because it was full of water. For the amount we paid for our stay, I really expected a little bit more. This place has the potential to be a high-end resort, especially having a private beach right at your doorstep. Upkeep and maintenance recommended more often.
