Another visit for Lunch, following an 8 mile hike along the Downs. You always get a Fantastic Roast here, well worth the 50 min drive for us. Consistently good, served quickly, and no less than 7 veg served with your Roast. Delicious!

We often eat at th Jack and Jill because the food is good and the atmsophere cosy with a roaring fire and lots of nooks and crannies. Last night we hired the function room for 23 people and had a wonderful buffet.

The B&B room was small and basic but at top price, the food was pub food but at restaurant prices and the beer was £4.15 a pint, £3.70 everywhere else (and not great). An ordinary pub with everything over-priced.

Booked sunday lunch for a family party of 13 ranging from 3 to 83 - all with very decided food preferences (love roast dinner-hate roast dinner, got to be fish - only eat meat, vegetarian etc etc). Drawn to the pub by the child friendly garden and location which was accessible to all of us. Very impressed with the menu...

We went to Jack and Jill based on the recommendation of a few friends who also have a young family. It is surprisingly difficult to find a real family pub that also has good food near us. We were attracted to this pub because it apparently had a good garden, it did not disappoint, the garden was awesome. There were...

3rd time visiting here from Canada. This time with the family. Basic rooms but clean and comfortable with a rustic feel. Kids loved it and way better than similarly priced hotels. Great selection of food and beers with good portion sizes and full English breakfast in a country pub atmosphere. Staff are very accommodating and the place is within easy...

We booked a night in this pub/restaurant/hotel as it was close to a wedding venue in Pyecombe. The rooms were basic but clean and we enjoyed sitting in the garden with a pint and some food when we arrived at lunchtime. However, when we got back from the wedding, there was an extremely loud party going on in the back...

Nice to find a pub that is still a pub in the traditional sense, cosy, warm, lots of nick knacks, slightly worn around the edges but hey its not a chain pub thank goodness!! We had scampi and the halibut, served quickly and was good honest pub fare. Nice to find it dog friendly and treats on the bar. Sure will visit...

Not very busy and took them 20 minutes to make 2 hot drinks. After a curdled hot chocolate that was overpriced the owner made a rude comment toward my partner for no apart reason within my earshot! Not the way to get return customers especially locally! Would not recommend.
