    Not the best
Overall had an average to good time on this holiday, considering we went during a pandemic and it was very last minute booking as we wanted to avoid having to quarantine on return. Things you should know: I do not recommend this resort for more than one reason. I see most people have an issue with the food, I will say most times it was average, sometimes it was very good (they held celebratory dinners that were themed and the food was fresh and delicious) so I won't complain about it. The rooms were never actually clean, although someone would come and take the trash, refill your mini fridge and rearrange your bed every day. It wasn't very clean when we checked in and it wasn't properly cleaned on a daily basis either. An actual issue is that out of 10 people, 9 DO NOT speak a word of English. They all, however, speak German and Russian so unless you speak either, I would avoid the frustration of not being able to figure out how to book your shuttle to the airport for 2 days because no one can tell you, like we did. Reception as an experience was quite unpleasant for us. Check-in was chaotic and took a long time; again, very few people spoke English and some of them would get frustrated for having to explain things in English. Their All Inclusive deal gives you the right to order local drinks (nothing international) between 8am and 11pm only. After 11pm, you have to pay for any drink you order. The hotel is across the street from a mosque. It did not bother us in the slightest, we actually enjoyed the prayer time but you should be aware one of those times is around 5am when the sun comes up. The resort beach is 12-15 minutes away from the hotel. There is transport available every 15 minutes and I do not recommend strolling as it is not scenic, it's quite abandoned and there are strays in the area. The beach is decent, not great and quite far from any kind of other restaurant, store or any sort of entertainment. There are small shops and a market 5-10 minutes away from the resort. I strongly recommend visiting Side Town and Antalya Kaleiçi (Old Town) if you are in the area as they are both beautiful and worth a day trip each. There is virtually no information on the infrastructure of this area online, so don't bother googling where to go to catch a bus or what bus to take, you have to ask around and hope the person you are talking to, has a minimum understanding of the English language. To get to Side Town you need to catch a mini bus that is 5 minutes away, to get to Antalya you need to catch a mini bus towards Managvat, make sure your poorly English speaking driver understands where you're going, get off where the driver tells you and wait for a bigger bus to take you to Antalya. Everyone at any step expects a tip so be prepared for that with cash.
Dear Guest, thank you for your time We are very sorry that we did not meet your expectations, but the tastes and expectations are not negotiable. Nice holiday, disappointed with staff & hotel
Myself and cousins booked this holiday back in January 2022 for the end of August 2022 and we could not wait! On arrival, after the very long late night transfer from the airport to the hotel, we were informed by the receptionist that they did not have two rooms for us (which we had booked). He told us that he would upgrade us for the night to stay in their 'Jacuzzi Suite' which guests usually have to pay extra for. We had to take this offer or we would've had to sleep in the Lobby which they sadly suggested... We arrived at the room at around 2am with 1 double bed and 1 sofa. There was 4 of us, all adults. There was not enough space for us at all. We then had to wait 2 hours for another bed to be delivered to the room so we all had a bed to sleep on. This took several phone calls to reception. We were told to arrive at reception the next morning for 10am in order for us to get our allocated rooms. This was not the case and we were eventually given our rooms around lunchtime, however when we arrived to the rooms they had not been cleaned. We also booked 2 Double Standard Rooms (extra money) and were given 2 Double Economy rooms with an extremely small balcony. The hotel would not do anything about this. If you are English, please do not speak to the Lady named Stella behind reception. She will only speak German and roll her eyes if you tell her you are English. She was very unhelpful and rude. We had several questions during our stay and it was extremely difficult and frustrating to find someone who would understand us. The doormen spoke better English than the Receptionists. Overall, we enjoyed our holiday. The pools, beach and entertainment staff are great! But we wouldn't recommend to only English speaking people.
Dear guest, Thank you very much for taking the time to write a detailed review and of course also for your recommendation. We are very pleased to receive such a good rating, as it shows that our employees do their best every day to ensure that all guests have an unforgettable holiday. And so we hope to see you again next year and until then we wish you all the best! Kind regards, Side Crown Sunshine Management

    GOOD SIDE CROWN SUNSHINE
I have stayed in side crown sunshine the hotel is a semi luxury hotel with 24-hours food and drinks staff are very friendly the foods is very tasty and and all variety of international cuisine including mainly the Turkish cuisine. Three swimming pools with plenty of sunbeds and lounges. The location is far from everything ( half an hour from Side 25 minutes from Manavgat ) however you can get a minibus for 1 or 2 Euros into Side town centre or Manavgat. The only problem I had is I have booked a deluxe sea view room and I didn't get that and on arrival they offered me to pay for a room with a Jacuzzi instead ( apparently they do this with everyone which is a tactic from the reception guys ) The main question is would I come back? and my answer will be YES however they need to honour the right rooms which people have paid for Thank you entertainment team and all the waiters too.

Location Good Room ok. Had paid for Deluxe with Sea View. Not a great view. Reception told me they are all like that as not close to sea. So would say sea peeps. Had tea/coffee making facilities but no cups for 3 days, luckily I had taken my own. Fridge broke after couple of days. Reported twice & was changed. Door handle to bathroom came off twice. Not fixed so it remained like that for 4 days until I left. Food Well where to begin. Awful. Tasteless & always only ever luke warm. Even salad lettuce didn’t taste like lettuce. There was a toaster at breakfast but no sliced bread, hence the bread sliced still caught fire so gave up. The food definitely favoured German/Turkish guests. Nothing in the hotel was written in English & although I agree we are bad with languages most hotels cater for different languages. This hotel caters for Germans & Turkish only. Most of the staff do not speak any English at all. The tv only had Turkish/German channels. Travelling solo I like a bit of news while pottering about. I have never stayed in any hotel that does not have bbc world news. Wi fi very sketchy. The pool was quite nice but beds very close together which meant crawling in from the end for some. Pool music very very loud all day. Entertainment was just more loud music in the evening. On the plus side, the location was good for walking into Side with lots of shops with the biggest selection of counterfeit goods I have ever seen & they were quite good quality too. The saving grace for this hotel is that it runs an old shuttle bus every 15 mins to their beds on the beach. They are covered with a canopy so youcan have shade or sun. The sea was beautiful. This is we’re I spent most of my days. The food at the beach was just more of the same. I travel a lot solo, this was my first time to Turkey & will probably be my last. Just to add had a midnight flight from Antalya airport. All the IT went down for nearly 2 hours so couldn’t check in. Perfect ending. 😂😂

The hotel is clean and beautiful every day house cleaning ( room) Staff are nice so is the service. The food is good and you will never get hungry. So many choices of food and drinks. Bar 24 hours service for both cold and hot drinks.room fridge are filled every day with cold drink and there is a kettle and sachets of coffee and tea that are refilled everyday in the rooms . Snacks , and ice cream on the arranged time every day. Place for prayers in the hotel and a mosque opposite the hotel. Shoping street nearby and public transport on the opposite the hotel just cross the road. This hotel deserve Good and positive reviews to be fair. I almost change the hotel after reading the negative review be fore I came. Thank God I did not. I had a lovely time ever.

We traveled and stayed at the Crown Sunshine for 7 nights, the overall experience was okay but would say there is definitely a lot of room for improvement. Here is our honest review. The Room: Bed was comfortable however we did have to go to reception after noticing a suspected blood stain on the sheet which they did quickly change and apologised for. The bathroom wasn’t great as after around 7pm the shower had no hot water and the drain was loose. The floor was dirty to the point we had to clean our feet before getting into bed. The balconies are poorly positioned in my opinion as you are all looking out to one another which also creates an echo effect even when talking quietly. Hair dryer did have problems where it would overheat and stop working so would recommend to bring your own. Food: Food was good, but did seem to be very similar mid way through the week with not very much choice of something new. The times given for dinner was up until 8:45pm as stated on the sheet we arrived at round 7.30pm to find that a lot of the choices were already being taking way for tidying up. Staff: Staff at reception on arrival were very nice and friendly, helped us up to our room with the bags and showed us where everything is. Didn’t get their names but two younger guys which were great. The entertainment team was very pushy and rude. I have been to Side before a few years ago and stayed in the sister hotel serenity across the road an found that team there were far more friendly and excepting if people didn’t want to take part. On this occasion the team were very pushy, one of the staff coming over asking if I wanted to join in I said no thanks then got almost shouted at “WHY”. On another occasion by the same staff member I was called “Lazy” in not a very joking manner. The bar inside was stated to be 24 hour. On one night we were sitting with a few other couples and having a conversation. The bartender who looked miserable looked like we were annoying him by just coming to ask for drinks. After around 1.30am the lights in the reception / bar started to get turned off in what made it seem like an effort to get us away to our rooms. After going to get a few more drinks we went up to our room which about 30 minutes later blacked out from. When we woke the next day we felt terrible and can I just add that we did have a full stomach as well as not enough to make us that drunk. We are not sure if there was an issue with the alcohol maybe gone off or what happened but the only person to touch our drinks were the bartender and myself. Pool: Pool was nice and clean. The bar was nice and pool food was okay what you would expect from a pool bar. Ice cream and waffles were very nice. Slides were good fun do wish they were open longer. The spa guys that came round were a bit annoying as they would just interrupt any conversation to try and find a bit of redness on you to offer their anti burning treatment which I have seen similar reviews with the same experience. Location: Beach was only 5 mins walk away. Shops just down the road and some restaurants too. Bus service just across the road and plenty of taxis near by. In closing it overall was a decent experience however the problems with those drinks did put a bit of damper on it. Would 100% the place Side but maybe a different hotel.

At the time of booking there were no reviews but once we were on the way there, the reviews of this hotel being bad came in and we thought we would just ignore them as it was too late. The reviews were absolutely right. Genuinely the worst hotel experience ever. It’s a common thing that they overbook so the first night you arrive you won’t be in the right room, for us we had booked 2 rooms and they stuck 3 of us in a family room for the night as ours ‘weren’t ready’, despite booking and paying for 2 rooms, meaning one of our friends had to sleep in a bunk bed. We kicked off and they told us they couldn’t do anything about it, other than putting us in another hotel or waiting until the morning as our room would be ready then. We decided to sleep in the family room and they told us there was still food available in the restaurant as we had arrived around midnight, they showed us into the restaurant and all that was there was some bread rolls and a strange looking soup. We just went to bed instead and the next morning we went to reception first thing, the receptionist told us our rooms won’t be ready until 2pm when the guests have checked out and they’ve been cleaned, we asked to speak to the manager who didn’t know a word of english and just shrugged his shoulders at us, we of course were annoyed again but decided we couldn’t do anything else so waited by the pool. We met an elderly group of friends and got talking to them and they informed us of this scam the hotel does, they overbook the rooms and then suggest putting you in another one of their hotels, for example side crown palace or side crown serenity, these hotels are cheaper than side crown sunshine so the hotels are making money as they hope the guests that move to the other hotels for a room, will just want to stay in those hotels. We eventually got the right rooms with no apologies and from then tried to enjoy our holiday. The hotel had a majority of German guests, therefore things were not catered for English guests. The food was german based and we would eat a roll and some chips for most meals, we’re not the most picky eaters either but we found the food terrible and almost inedible. The pool was nice and the water slides were a lot of fun. The rooms were clean and the entertainment and waiters were lovely. The reception let’s them down. Cannot say enough good words about the entertainment team. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all, however if you have already booked it then there’s still things you can enjoy there. Lots of markets near the hotel, just a 5 minute walk away and a lovely kebab shop nearby that kept us going.

Lovely hotel with everything you need for a great holiday. Animation team are fabulous, Dj Lucky and Buse go beyond to make your stay enjoyable around the pool and at the evening entertainment. They work long hours and are never without a smile. Bar staff are great, everyone so friendly and the cleaning staff go above and beyond to keep the place immaculate, Yosef was great. Hotel wifi a bit temperamental but when it works its good. Plenty of choice in the restaurant but don't really cater for british kids who are fussy like mine, always chips and burgers at the pool though and the daily waffles went down well. Roms exactky what we saw on the website, overall fab holiday for us and the staff throughout the hotel were super friendly.

I was worried about arriving here after reading some of the poor reviews. However we all had a great time. All the staff were friendly and don't have a problem with English people. On check-in we were upgraded to a deluxe suite which overlooked the pool and our cases were taken to our room for us. Entertainment staff are all friendly too. The hotel has 3 pools one which has slides open at certain times of the day. One downfall was that area around the main pool was very very slippy and we witnessed many people slipping throughout our stay. The pool bar from 12.30 pm has burgers, chips, onion rings, etc and ice cream and waffles are served here daily from 3pm however the hotel restaurant is also open for lunch so there is lots of choice. There is a free bus to the beach where it is also all-inclusive for drinks and food and there are plenty of sun loungers. I am a fussy eater but could always find something to eat in the restaurant/bars. We also went to the Al la Carte restaurant where they have a set menu of 5 courses - you have to book this at 9am at reception. The hotel had a foam party in the pool which was great fun. Evening entertainment consisted of mini disco and then some entertainment but was over by approx 10.30pm however the bar is open way into the night and we made our own entertainment. We went to the Turkish hammam at the hotel where you have a body scrub, bubble bath followed by a massage for 30€ per person, and it was definitely worth it. My mum has a disability and they were excellent and very caring. Mr Bean the hotel photographer (not forgetting his parrot) were lovely and friendly and he took some amazing photos of my family. There is an area full of shops and bazaars about a 5 minute walk away from the hotel which we only found on the penultimate night. It was my birthday whilst we were away and the cleaning staff left me a happy birthday note and message on the bed. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the holiday and I would recommend this hotel.

Just got back from this hotel. The hotel is lovely but wouldn't say 5 star more like a 4 star. Most of the staff are very helpful however being English it was difficult as they don't understand. Overall we had a lovely holiday couple of negatives for this hotel which let's it down. WiFi is a must in the rooms and cleaning around the pool the sundowners are disgusting. Also entertainment for adults is poor there's only so much water polo and darts you can play.would I return maybe in few more years

We were really worried about arriving here after reading some of the reviews. We have had a lovely time. All the staff are friendly and don't have a problem with English people. Was checked in really quick and showed to our room by the lovely staff. Entertainment staff are all lovely and friendly. The pool bar is OK it has burgers, chips, onion rings, etc. Ice cream and waffles are served here daily from 3pm. You can get a free bus to the beach where, again, it is all-inclusive. At the beach are burgers, chips, rice salad, and kebabs on alternate days. There is a woman who makes Turkish wraps, and they are delicious. You can always find something to eat in the restaurant. We struggled with breakfast, but there are cereal, toast fruit, etc. The rooms are tiny with only 1 single wardrobe as the other side is pointless shelves and there are only 3 drawers in the room. We struggled with this as a family of 3. We have a Turkish scrub, bubble bath, and massage whilst here for 30€ per person, and it was well worth it, it was lovely. All in all we had a lovely holiday. Would I return yes. We were very surprised.
