I found this place by chance, looking for accomodation in Landsmeer. I adore the breakfast in the room, here I have this pleasure, on every five mornings, which was very generous, tasty, diverse meniu, even for a vegetarian person, the coffee also extremly good. Vili and Kate are very nice people polite, they are help you in any way posible. From the location you can easily walk towards a natural beautiful place call Het Twiske, a kind of natural wild park with cows, goose, riding horses, farms. Kindly, reccomand Collete's Family. Thanks so munch Kate and Vili.
Lovely bed and breakfast in a beautiful village.Stayed for 2 nights ,on arrival Vili checked us in showed us to our room and asked us what time we wanted breakfast ,such a lovely person. They have thought of everything in room even bottle of wine and nuts such a lovely thought. Breakfast was amazing, eggs yogurt ,juice, biscuits ham and cheese even bag to take sandwiches in for lunch Vili gave us travel cards with money left on them to use on metro .Would highly recommend a stay here lovely couple and very clean bed and breakfast in a lovely village easy to travel into Amsterdam
This is a gracious, lovely B&B just a quick ride outside of Amsterdam. The rooms are beautifully designed and immaculately clean. We stayed in the family room and another room next door. The family room has a recently remodeled en suite bathroom that was so lovely that I took pictures so I could consult them when I returned back home when I remodel my own bathroom. Vili and Kate provide a wonderful introduction to the city and even provide guests with OV chipkaarts, and which you can reload during your trip to Amsterdam. The breakfast is absolutely beautiful--the best breakfast we had during our trip to the Netherlands--and the surroundings on their deck are so lovely. During our breakfast, we were visited by a family of swans. It was a really special moment for my family. We also ventured as a family to Het Twiske, the recreational nature preserve with several swimming beaches. I would not suggest walking, as we did, as it's rather long for a walk, but on bikes, it would be a pleasant, 10-15 minute bike ride, and Vili and Kate rent bikes. I took public transport into Amsterdam from Colettes, and the bus stop is a short 3-minute walk from their place. Buses into Station Noord arrive every 8-10 minutes, depending on time of day. Be aware that the ticket does cost around 6-7 euros, so either have a GVB card with at least that much on it or a debit card (bus driver doesn't take cash but he was very friendly and helpful). The ticket allows you 1/2 hour access to all GVB transport, including the subway at Station Noord that will whisk you right into Amsterdam. It was super simple to get from Landsmeer to the heart of Amsterdam in about 12 minutes. Finally, this is a great choice for folks who want easy access to the city without the intensity of city living and who are interested in exploring other parts of the country. Be aware that this B&B is in a residential neighborhood. This also may not be the right place for older people (such as elderly grandparents) as there are steep stairs, typical of Dutch design, no air conditioning (also typical in Netherlands) and does require a (short) walk to the bus stop. But a perfect spot for couples, single travelers, and small families. We truly enjoyed our brief stay here, as so many others have.…
Vili and Kate are very nice and kind! They indicate the bikes route we can take, and the surrounding environment very detailed. We really had a wonderful time staying in your house, we love the nutritional breakfast, beautiful street around the house, and very enjoyed the days riding bikes around Netherlands. You can rent a bike from Vili, or take the bus and metro to central Amsterdam, stay here is very convenient but quiet, a nice place to really experience the local Dutch life! Highly recommend!!
Vili and Kate provide a comfortable & beautiful house for us, We really enjoyed our stay ! a beautiful garden & delicious breakfast. They gave us a lot of useful information. We are lucky to choose their B&B for our first time to Netherlands. Thanks.
