We had a group of seven of us stay in two tents on the camping field for my 40th birthday and it was fantastic. It is just £5 per tent per night on the site which is in easy walking distance of the Hook Norton Brewery and the beautiful Cotswold countryside. If you don't mind basic camping (probably more for... We stayed in the camping field, wasn't expecting much for £5 a night to camp, but very pleasantly surprised, wifi available, toilet was fine, and the pub was lovely. The only issue with camping was the barking of the neighbours big dogs through the night, but that's not something that the site have any control over! Went for food in... More

Stayed in the car park overnight in motor home and used the facilities for an early dinner. The restaurant was clean, well presented and the food was good. The chef was very approachable and, although he had run out of shortbread biscuits for the lemon posset, the whole experience will be repeated at least once. I recommend the fish &... More

The room itself is very nice on first impression. Had ordered a double room, got a twin. Owner suggested moving beds as the singles zip together to make a double. When we moved the bed, there was debris on the carpet, bottle tops etc from previous occupants. Hotel advertises breakfast included. Was told by the Management that we need to... More

35 years ago this pub occasionally turned a blind eye to the 16 year olds when we snuck out of school to purchase a half pint of cider... I'm sure this would never happen now! I’m not sure if they had rooms then, but now they do and I stayed in one (Room 1) for a night this week. The... More

Good room facilities but very dark with poor lighting, not all of the lights were working. Loud noises from plumbing system during the night did not help sleep quality. Good breakfast. Evening meal very good but more standarf pub food than that offered by nearby establishments.

Stayed in the campsite at the rear & we were made welcome from the moment we arrived. Each & every member of staff made us feel like we had been coming to the pub for years. Friendly staff, well kept beer, good menu with fab food - lasagne was the best I have tasted in years - & chips were... More

We often walk here, from Hook Norton village, for a meal or just a beer. The bar is small and cosy, very dog-friendly, and with roaring fire in cold weather. Excellent food every time. The only thing we'd change would be more guest ales on tap. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Three of us visited for dinner. The building is very much a traditional British pub. No minimalist , trendy furnishings. It has a homely , friendly atmosphere. The menu is large enough to interest any diner, including a specials board. One of our group is Coeliac...the staff went to great lengths to ensure that dietary needs were met with care... More
