So today we were supposed to be spending the night, 2 adults 2 children at black spur inn but unfortunately due to the fault of booking.com we were doubled booked and there was no where else for us to stay. The hotel owner were extremely apologetic even though the mistake wasn't their doing and offered us complementary dinner. Dinner was... More

After a big day at the snow, we chose the Black Spur in for dinner. The staff were so warm, welcoming and attentive. The pub is beautifully set with great views & a lovely fire. The menu had a few meal choices and we settled on the chicken Parma. Amazing, delicious, such a big serve no room for dessert &... More

Attended with a group of bike riders on a Sunday arvo. Ate at the public bar which was rustic and warm with the fire burning. Staff friendly but unsure why you have to line up to order a drink with your meal. Had a Parma which was only warm but tasty. I was a bit shocked that there was no... More

The setting is delightful: away from Melbourne but not too far. We arrived by bicycle and were warmly greeted by the staff. In spite of its being historic, the inn is in good condition (a special treat is the second floor nook with a lending library). Our dinner was well prepared and well served, as we breakfast the next morning.... More

We stopped over in transit. Gorgeous looking pub. We were directed from the bistro into themain bar as they were short staffed this particular night. We ordered our drinks and meals from the bar the returned to the bistro. We popped our cutlery etc on our table (we were the only ones in the bistro at this stage) and decided... More

We stayed two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The service and food at the restaurant was excellent. The room was very comfortable and the hosts could not do enough for us. We will be definitely back

We stopped at the iconic Black Spur Inn for lunch on a return trip from Marysville. For non locals, the two dining areas can be a bit confusing. There is a lovely restaurant that offers table service and more of a fine dining experience and there is a bar where you order and pick up your meals from the bar.... More

Great pub atmosphere with nice views, friendly and attentive staff, the menu is a bit basic, but, make sure your hungry, the servings are large (no room for desert) and the eye fillet is to die for, highly recommend for couples, family or group bookings.
