We liked the nice welcome, the small condos with the private hot tub. The main lodge is also very confortable and the countryside really wild. However, the dinner is far too expensive. We did not ask the price before.. We should. 75CAD dollars for a kid.... We also did not like the gentle pressure for the activities in the ranch: horse riding and quad. 75CAD dollars for a 20 mins horse riding for a kid is also far too expensive.

Thank you for posting your review. With regards to the meals, the ranch charges $70 for the steak dinners, $60 for the chicken dinner and $35 for the vegetarian meals - the prices are highlighted on our website. The meat is all farmed raised and includes fresh baked bread, salad and desert and are of the highest quality. In your case, we only charged for 2 of the 3 children’s meals. With regard to activities, we absolute do not apply any pressure at all to participate. Our ATV and snowmobile tours do require a minimum of 2 people and we will be adding that to our website rates page. Our horseback rides do vary greatly in length depending on how much effort and training is required to be comfortable on the horse. We did spend quite a bit time with your daughter prior to the ride to ensure her safety and comfort.

Elaine and Al made our family day weekend a getaway that my son and I will soon not regret. From the warm welcome on our check in, the tasty breakfast, melt in your mouth steak dinner, lodgings that were so cozy - cabiny, to the hands on ranch hand experiences we had. Montana Ranch is like none other that I have visited and I needed a refresh and return to nature and this was so that and more.......we will be back.

Al and Elaine were very hospitable and friendly. We loved the meals, horse riding, balcony spa and the peaceful setting in the countryside. Would definitely recommend. The atmosphere was very nice and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Al and Elaine have created a little place of quiet heaven. The cabins each have a hot tub and BBQ on the deck, and inside a small kitchenette with coffee ready to go! The working farm has lovely horses, cows and 2 cats. One can wander the grounds, learn how to milk a cow, go for a horse ride or ATV ride. Join Elaine and Al for dinner if you like (true farm-to-table!) family style, and of course everyone for breakfast in the morning. A wonderful moment is when the horses come down onto the grounds to be the 'lawnmowers' - the horses friendly yet with personality! By the way - this is pretty much a device-free zone, so one can really relax! There is a DVD player in the room.
