Staying in Kingston, we had booked lunch in order to see the resort. It was fine but nothing special. Service was friendlier than in some of the other places we've eaten, as we were personally escorted from the parking lot to the beachside restaurant.it dis give us a chance to see the rsort, which was quite lovely. First travel tip...

First of all, let's get the hokum about staying on Ian Flemings estate out of the way; unless you book to stay in his house you will catch only the most fleeting of glimpses of the building and most of the resort is built over the river on land that has been acquired in addition to that original estate. The...

Meandering paths wind through this immaculate beach oasis. We joined friends for a long weekend at Mr Fleming's former retreat and could not have been more pleased. Snorkel, paddle board or simply enjoy the wonderful vistas, beaches and lagoons. The entire staff was excellent and a special thank you to Christopher, as he went above and beyond at Fleming Villa....

We stayed for a few days at Golden Eye during a trip across the island - very unique property, and my favourite of the Island Outpost hotels. It feels very luxurious but also has a rustic island feel to the place as well. Loved the fact it has very few rooms, it is very private as a result. Main restaurant...

This is our second stay at Goldeneye. Our first was after its re-opening in 2011, where we had a fantastic stay. In the interim 5 years, we have been wanting to return, but other travels and the birth of our son (whom we brought on this trip) delayed our return. Besides the vast expansion of the property, the Goldeneye we...

We had a nice, uneventful stay, we only booked a room here as Strawberry Hill has screwed up our reservation and were booked, coming from the Kanopi House and going to Strawberry Hill afterwards, Golden Eye was a nice change, though we were bored after a day, we couldn't imagine what was to there for few days... food was average...

Just beautiful. The town of Oracabessa is full of charm and wonderful people. Nestled on the Sea with a mountainous backdrop. In times gone by, Ian Flemming wrote all of his James Bond books here. The acreage has been purchased by music mogul Chris Blackwell and although upgraded all of the surroundings, held on to the charm that is the...

Just leaving Goldeneye and can't say enough great things about the resort or the wonderful staff! If you are looking for an extremely tranquil Caribbean experience, this is your place. We felt like we had an entire island almost to ourselves at times. We had planned on doing a few off-site excursions during our stay, but cancelled them to enjoy...

This hotel is a case study for originality and extreme quality. Firstly, owner Chris Blackwell, really knows and understands Jamaica. His staff are locally employed, well-looked after, and well managed. They're delightfully friendly. The service is outstanding. The food is delicious and appears at the right speed. Very fair prices. The whole setting is spectacular and brilliantly conceived. The rooms...

I've had the luck to be able to travel around the world. Very few places have ever connected so deeply as did Goldeneye. From the moment you arrive, you begin to feel a warmth and tranquility surrounded by tropical beauty. The staff are genuinely warm and friendly, the accommodations are an understated elegance, the food is fresh and amazing and...
