White beach is quite a rustic kind of place in terms of the design, the bungalows are constructed from the best quality wood and are all en suite, boasting huge shower room and western toilets, in separated rooms. Built in 2013, it is on what many people consider to be the best stretch of the beach because it is totally quiet and chilled day and night, however only a few hundred meters away from the main village of Koh Rong, where there are many bars and restaurants to choose from. The resort is set in its own landscaped gardens and also have a beautiful Bar and Restaurant on the beach - you would love to eat and chill here!

Totally unsatisfied and its shambolic for the price, not even a welcoming water pack in the room. Hey ho I'm travelling solo, but what about families after a 3hr travel. No tv no fridge for $45 a night. Description on there web site and agooda is Totally miss leading. Best beach really washed up diesel and oil spillage from the ferries. Awful place

White beach bungalows are very basic beach huts. They have wholes in the front, on the floor and in the bathroom so bugs crawl in. We had lizards, millipedes, spiders, mosquitos and sandflies. I am not a fussy person but I couldnt relax in the room. The fan was broken so it was so hot we had to have the windows open at night, which let in, even more nature. We loved the location right on White Beach and 5-10 mim walk from the shops and resturants. We feel that the pandemic has made it hard for white beach bungalows, as only the small bar is open and the huts need some serious maintenance. I would say its 2/5 as it stands (Apr 2022) Pros -The staff are so lovely and friendly. - Beach front, stunning - 5 min walk from shops & resturants Cons: - So many bugs in the room, we had gaps in floor and ceeling : spiders, lizards, millipedes. We got eaten alive by sandflies and mosquitos. - Beach huts need serious maintenance, bathroom is dated, broken tiles, roof leaked, some lights didnt work, fan was broken - Music is so loud until early hours - Roof needed replacing only plastic sheet over the top - not very good value for money. - room wasnt cleaned We probably wouldnt stay here again, as the bugs and noise kept us up. They do have bug nets around the bed but they had wholes in so we got eaten alive by sandflies and mosquitos.

Room Tip: If you do stay here bring HIGH DEET, the island only sells natural canola oils and they dont...

We stayed at White Beach for 1 month and a half during the covid crisis and had a great time. Ben was very responsive and helpful during the booking process and once we arrived on the Island. The bungalow we had (b14) was perfectly located as it faced the beach but also gave us privacy as it has a 20 step stairs leading to it. The rate we got per night was a real bargain and allowed us to stay long and enjoy the beautiful white sand beach in front of the hotel every day. The location was ideal for us as we could go to the Koh Toch village by walking only 10 min on the beach but also were away from its noise at night. The staff was very nice and provided good advice. The restaurant of the hotel was closed at that time but the nearby Tree House was a great option. Only annoying little things were that the wifi was not working most of the time (due to wifi company apparently) and there often was a bad smell in our bathroom.

We stayed during the COVID-19 pandemic which obviously affected our stay, the island was much quieter than usual which was good and bad (none of the parties were on and the beach was much emptier than usual). But all the staff were really helpful about the whole situation and were offering discounted rates. The location is perfect. A 5 minute walk from the main village (and 10 minutes from police beach) with all the restaurants and bars and a 10 minute walk in the other direction to 4k beach which is beautiful and more quiet. The resort can organise boat trips to the other beaches on the island. The best thing about the bungalow (although ours was a sea view with AC so was more of a treehouse) was the beach, which you have a great view of from the balcony! You could sit in the hammock or comfy chairs all day watching the sea. The beach is private and is the best on the Koh Toch bay with white sand and clean waters (although the resorts on the island needs to lead beach clean ups as even without many tourists there was lots of rubbish). Also watch out for the sand flies - invest in some DEET bug spray or coconut oil. The bungalows themselves are quite simple with only a bed, bedside table and some shelving but they were clean and comfortable and enough for a week long stay - although I can see why some people felt frustrated when paying $90+ a night. We never had a problem with bugs or brown water and found everything very satisfactory! The island is quite expensive and is cash only so make sure you have enough as the cash our services charge 10%. Would definitely recommend staying at the White Beach Bungalows! Worth the extra money compared to other resorts on the island for sure. Thanks to all the staff as well, hopefully we’ll be back again!

Wonderful place, beginning of the location - the best on the island in my opinion. Spacious and clean bungalow. Great dinner, delicious and varied breakfasts.Nice and service-oriented staff and above all the manager Ben. Thanks so much for a wonderful week.

At first glance White Beach bungalows looks glorious, well the location is anyway! The accommodation is poor to say the least, the bedroom is shabby with pancake flat pillows, a basic mattress, unfinished paint work, dirt around the light switches and gaps in the floor! The bathroom is even worse with a constant smell of sewage, decaying taps and towel hooks and a bathroom door that must have washed ashore, no wonder the bathrooms aren’t shown on their website! Insult to injury was the $90 per night they were charging for 3 nights. Better accommodation was available for $20 locally when we looked online in disbelief. The staff apart from the tall blonde lady had a couldn’t care less attitude too. Please look elsewhere for your stay in beautiful Koh Rong.

I contacted the hotel before we arrived and they picked us up from the pier at no charge. We were very happy with this quieter area of the beach and if you want more, you are within easy walking distance of bars and restaurants. We were in a beachfront bungalow with a/c. The room lacked inside chairs, glasses, hangers, a kettle, water, or a place to put your suitcase. With a few simple add-ons, it may be worth the price they charge. Cash only and we weren't able to charge to the room.

Not worth the price! Nice looking bungalows, but terribly mismanaged... Unfriendly and uninterested staff at reception apart from blond tall girl. Internet not working apart from reception area (we were not advised at time of booking), shower not draining properly. The bed and pillows were extremely hard and uncomfortable, bathroom room doesn’t close so you get smell from drainage in the room. Small windows within room allowing light and see through curtains so you wake up early. Staff talking loud outside bungalow at 7.30am. For the price you pay ($80/night) you would expect some comfort and unfortunately it was not there. The location is great, but the whole experience of staying there was ruined by above mentioned items... Go for a double room in the village for €30/35 and you get better comfort including TV and more quiet to sleep...

Imagine getting tourist diarrhea in a cabin with water shortages. Sitting in the toilet vomiting, when you can't get a drip of water from the tap nor the shower. Well, this happened to my boyfriend while staying at White Beach, and that was the worst day of our 2-week trip. Of course there was bad luck involved. And the personnel were super nice, they let us stay a little longer and helped to carry the bags to the pier. But despite that, we feel that we paid a hotel-level price for a cabin that was of camping-level standard. Our cabin was on the "back row", standing on high poles, thus having uneven floors. We knew that it would be a simple accommodation, but this was primitive. First, even when the water was running, the was just a tiny amount of water coming from the shower, thus washing yourself took time. The water was cold but that we knew in advance. When we arrived, the light by the stairs was broken (nobody fixed that during our days there), the towels were hanging next to the curtains so that I first thought they were used and there was no shampoo, just small plastic bags of shower gel for men. Once again, that is perfectly ok - for a camping site cabin that costs USD 20 per night. This was more than triple the price. Having said that, the bar and restaurant was quite nice, and the location was indeed one of the best on Koh Rong: the end of the Koh Toch beach, and the beach was kept clean and nice. Sipping wine in beach chairs just three meters from the water is fabulous. I know that there are better cabins with AC and hot water and maybe even with some other amenities that we did not get, so if you are less a camper, go for those! However, with small adjustment even staying in these simpler cabins would be more delightful. Fixing the the water problem is number one. You need to be able to shower properly. And why not add some eco-friendly soaps, little flowers, extra towels for the beach and a nice welcoming note to the guests? At the moment the most visible decor in the cabins is CHECK OUT AT 10 AM on the wall, which doesn't make you feel very welcome!

The location is good if you want to stay close to the village but at the same want to have some kind of distance from the noise. We were staying in two different bungalows. The first one was beach front so the view was great but the standard was very low for the price we payed - felt a little bit like a cave - bad lightening in the evening. The other bungalow had a higher standard. The bathroom was better but still simple. The walls were white and took away the cave feeling. Could have enjoyed the very cozy balcony up in the trees if it wasnt for all the mosquitos. The staff was helpful but dont go with their recommended taxi driver if you like us are leaving for siem reap. He was looking more at this phone than the road.
