Welcomed into the pub at 11.30 after a walk at The White Horse. Ordered lunch with my partner. He had the homemade chicken turkey and ham pie and chocolate fudge cake and I had the cajun chicken ciabatta and chips followed by coffee. The food was excellent, the barmaid was lovely and friendly. Definitely be back again!

My wife and I had an excellent break at the Forresters Arms, Kilburn is a lovely little village and the hotel is a traditional English pub with a quaint and friendly atmosphere. We ate at the restaurant on two evenings because the menu was so varied and the food was well above the average pub standard. We even had a...

This was our third visit of the year to this lovely hostelry. Once again, a warm welcome from Nigel, Dawn and their staff was the order of the day. The food was fabulous - pub food and then some - and the portions were generous. My sister and I have been visiting this place since we were very young. 50+...

We stayed here on a deal price and we were not disappointed. Our room number 9 was a large room and was very cozy and was at the back of the pub so no road noise but being a small village I would doubt there was much anyway. We ate in the pub on our first night and the food...

Made to feel very welcome by the landlady and locals alike. Dinner was great value and great tasting. Local ales were lovely too. Yes it is a little more rustic than a holiday inn or travelodge, and yes the rooms are smaller but the staff and patrons offset that by a country mile. Will be back and would recommend.

Stayed here recently, was supposed to get mulled wine & shortcake × 2. One was issued as what I think was the landlord, was downright rude about it. Once home double checked the deal, low & behold. It said two people staying = wine/ shortbread x2. Sorry but he could have checked but just stood adamant with his rude self...

Spent 2 nights at the Forresters using a Wowcher deal. The room was small but comfortable. The deal was for 2 nights B&B with a glass of mulled wine and shortbread 'for two'. However, the Landlord would only provide this for one of us claiming that was the deal. Maybe a little thing but made us feel a little unwelcome....

Lovely room at this pub set in a beautiful village. Scenic dog walks right on the doorstep. They do take away food which I sadly didn't realise until after I'd driven round trying to find somewhere (as a single woman traveller I do not enjoy sitting in a restaurant by myself). Nice breakfast. Room numbers could be placed on breakfast...

Called for a drink and snack after visiting the mouseman atraction. This is a smashing pub, nice real local ales and very good food, a nice touch is the mouse biscuit served with the coffee. Friendly staff and great decor, looking for the mice on the furniture was a nice distraction. Would fully recommend a visit.
