My friends and I stayed at the Oldcastle House Hotel for a weekend and we truly enjoyed our stay. There was nothing special about the room we were in but the bed was comfortable and the shower was amazing. There were some cleanliness issues like the bathroom trashcans not being emptied before we checked in and some large stains on the carpet but nothing major that caused us to complain. There wasn't WiFi in the rooms but it was available in the lobby/bar. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the food at the restaurant was superb. If ever back in Oldcastle we would absolutely stay again.

I reserved four double rooms for two nights as we were all attending a local wedding. The rooms were VERY basic and generally clean, cups for making tea/coffee were disgusting. Our room was directly over (204) outside night club! The noise and shouting on the first night finally stopped around 3pm, the second night a fight broke out which I do not need to describe. Our friends in another room could not sleep with the noise from the lift going up and down, we used stairs as it was a little scary using lift. Two good reports, the staff were very cheerful and engaging, the food was good. Unfortunately cannot recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for a weekend. Was greeted by Kevin Packenham, what a gentleman! Stayed in the Loughcrew suite. Fantastic large room on top floor overlooking fields on one side and town rooftops on the other. Really comfortable bed. Lovely bathroom with bath/shower and separate shower. Was lovely and warm also. The only negative I could say that the coffee sachets provided in the room were rubbish but I am sure that they would have provided an alternative if I had mentioned it.
