Yasuragi hotel's tranquil atmosphere, adorned with Japanese-inspired decor, has been a highlight for guests seeking serenity. While the hotel's amenities, such as its variety of baths and saunas, are widely celebrated, some visitors have encountered cleanliness concerns and equipment not working properly. The service quality appears to fluctuate, with some guests experiencing flawless care, while others have faced communication gaps, particularly in the reception and dining areas. Room cleanliness and comfort received mixed reviews, with some negative feedback regarding maintenance. In terms of value, numerous travelers question the hotel's pricing, pointing to the high costs relative to the services provided.

An exquisite japanese spa experience well worth the cost and travel. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will remember this trip for a very long time. Everything was fantastic, only problem was the slow arrival of food at the restaurant - The food was always great though! Leave some extra time for dinner.

We had booked one of the big suites (Ryokan Hanare) with a private spa to celebrate a birthday in privacy, luxury and Covid safety. The suite is very nice! An easy 5/5. But little did we know that the private spa is turned off around the same time as the public spa. Having both indoor and outdoor pools of the room drained already at 11pm was a major deal breaker and to top it off even the warm water of the Japanese-style washing stations were also turned off for some strange reason. We were really looking forward to enjoying the spa for as long as we wanted. Such a shame! Further more the food was not really up to par with the rest of the facility. The 3-course dinner was really very bland and the breakfast had nothing to do with Japan at all, it was just the standard Clarion Hotels breakfast and it sort of takes you out of the whole Japanese experience and it's also the last thing you remember from the stay so i'd say that's a poor strategic choice. I think Yasuragi could be 5/5 with a few tweaks tho, fingers crossed they sort these thing out.

Thank you for giving us feedback. We are so sorry to hear that the closing time of the hot baths in the suite was not suitable for you. As we do not have your full name or date of your stay it´s not easy to answer why the water was cold at the washing stations. The best thing is always to inform us on site. Warm regards Yasuragi

Going to this place is a journey finding your inner mindfulness. For me this is special. The japanese garden is something I think people misses out on. I would really recommend to just wander around there a moment to just appreciates the small details. Give yourself sometime to wind down and just relax, enjoy the atmosphere I would say.

Timelessness is the very essence of Japanese aesthetic and this place executes it very well. It adapts the japanese onsen ryokan concept with western world spa at a great balance. One could definitely learn more about onsen and ryokan or go to japan before visiting this place as it could be a culture shock to sleep on the mattresses on the floor like ryokans in japan. I think yasuragi has some rooms with "normal beds" with legs. There are plenty of hotels in Stockholm that are non japanese inspired, why go to Yasuragi if you want "normal" would then be my question..

I read Yasuragi website before visiting during covid pandemic and they seem to use ultrafilter water processing systems which is awesome I guess. Do not remember if the water is chlorine mixed, that would be even more great if it was as chlorine also reduces germs. However, there are great spa experience here with outdoor, indoor, cold pool, steam and dry sauna, jacuzzi, etc. Rooms with rocking chair that wind you down completely, fruits and matcha green tea etc. To stay hydrated. Absolutely refreshing and peaceful. In my opinion this is the very best onsen in Sweden. Other hotels might have some pool and jacuzzi but it is not well equipped as Yasuragi and the atmosphere here. I really like the japanese bath bucket and stool alot. Wanted to buy a set with me home actually but did not find it in their shop, however they had the matcha whisk which is great.

Been here many times both with work when we held weeks long conferences and privately as a couple just to chill. It has been more than ten years ago (back in the days when they had teppanyaki) since I visited this place for the first time and it is still my favorite spot as of today.

The moment you check it, you dive into a different world. Everybody is asked to wear a Kimono during the whole stay, including for dinner. At first I thought this to be awkward but then loved it. My wife and I emerged in the whole experience which actually brought back memories from a trip to Japan some years ago. Especially the bath in the hot outdoor pool is worth time and money. Not to forget, the Japanese food is top!

This spa hotel is such a treat. There are so many pools and saunas in this spa. I tend to get cold very easily, so having warmth throughout the spa is ideal for me. My favorite was the salt scrub steam room. The steam room smells like eucalyptus and it didn't feel slimy or gross like some other steam rooms where you're not sure if it's clean to sit down. The outdoor sauna feels the warmest and there's a cold bath just outside.

The price tag seems a bit steep at first glance, but when you consider everything you get, it's actually a great value (if you get the package). You get access to the spa during your whole stay (even upon check out), overnight stay, Japanese cuisine dinner (incl.), yummy buffet breakfast, and activities are available throughout the day/night - yoga, meditation, etc. Definitely recommend!!

*There's a semi-hidden pool by the staircase. If you're coming down the stairs,go to the right. There's a beautiful shallow pool with a large rock wall that's very calming.

I have always been a fan of Yasuragi, it’s calm, location is great and the views are remarkable. Smooth check in and a pretty standard room (felt small in comparacy to other hotels). Even after it’s upgrade Yasuragi feels kind of dated and not very modern. Make no mistakes the pools and saunas are great, but the surfaces are in serious need of an upgrade.

We had a stay with dinner included and I must say it was a big disappointment from starter through main to dessert.

The beds were very uncomfortable and I had a hard time getting even one full hour of sleep.

Breakfast ok, pretty standard.

We had check out at 12 but decided to leave already at 9 after breakfast because of the overall disappointment of having spent over €400 plus and additional €40 for the wine at dinner.

Yasuragi has some major issues that they need to fix, food to begin with but also facilities in general and I do not recommend you to spend that money when you can go to a nice quiet hotel with a pool in town and get the dinner of your choice.

I had to come back. First time it was personal, this time it was just business. Besides the usual which I know I have complained some time ago (pretentious, made up japanese culture) I was foolish enough to think, maybe this time they’re changed. It wasn’t me who was going to pay for this stay so just get with the programme.

Ok so here goes. First off, check in staff is rather rude when I show up expecting me to know that the check in for conference is somewhere else. Promising start.

We have a good room to work in and wifi and technical solutions work just fine. The inbetween wholesome snacks are alright. The lunch is below average, tasteless and a disappointment.

Once work is over we get our rooms, mine is spacious and good. I go down to give the japanese bath a go but this is once again such a poor experience at this place. There are pools indoors and outdoors a few saunas and it just feels unconfortable, pretentious and weird. Add to that you can’t speak because then staff comes and reminds you that you need to be next to quiet.

Anyway and here’s the grand finale. We are told to be by the restaurant a certain time, it is of most importance that we come on time to be shown to our table. The dinner which doesn’t consist of anything takes over two and a half hour to get. When we start asking for the food, the main course, one and a half hour after the entree staff gets rude, defensive and stops coming by to wait on our tables. A third of the staff leaves the restaurant to go and get something to eat elsewhere. Us who is patient enough is starting to loose our cool. We are being told by at least three in the staff that ”this is my first day” (if this is true or just a strategy who knows? And who cares at this point?). Ok so it’s everyones first day, noone speaks swedish, service has stopped to wait on our tables. ”You will have your food in 10 minutes” says a waitress. That 10 minutes turns out to be another 45(!) minutes. And now staff from inside the kitchen come out being rude to all of us explaining that their internal ordersystem on our orders wasn’t working and sent through to the kitchen, which could have been the case but this was a pre-ordered set menu dinner.
We meet three other companies that complains about the same thing and also the rudeness of staff.

Last time I was here I was contacted by some service manager who wanted answers to all kinds of questions which I politly did via mail thinking maybe I would have something back, maybe be compensated for this poor experience. But this was only to have her stop answering although she and Yasuragi initiated the contact. I do not expect them to do so this time around, since it’s getting to the point where it’s embarrassing.

I would strongly recommend you to stay clear of Yasuragi Hasseludden because here service is unheard of, but don’t speak, don’t complain and wear your robe and you’ll be fine… and hungry.

I had booked a day package with my child and before booking had asked them if i can change the booking to an over night stay over the phone. Before changing my booking i called again, both times Yasuragi staff did not mention that apart from the price difference (which i already knew) , they would also charge another amount of around 350 kr just for booking a room. It is firstly ridiculous to charge an amount ASIDE for having a price on the calendar. Furthermore they mislead as on the website they call it an upgrade. My major dissappointment was the failure of the staff to mention this until after i requested to change my booking. When i took this up they said they cannot do anything about it. I emailed back saying i would like to refund in this case. Which they ignored and then i had to email again. I had been looking forward to spending this time with my daughter but the whole experience was such a turnoff

Thank you for giving us feedback on this. The price in our online booking calender is for booking online. If the booking is made online and you want to upgrade your stay this should be done without extra cost. If you make your primary booking directly with our Guest Service there is an extra cost of 100 SEK p/p for day packages and 200 SEK p/p for overnight stays. We are truly sorry for any misunderstandings. Warm regards Yasuragi

I’m a sauna buff and I loved this wellness experience. Travelling on my own, I arrived early and booked the sauna yoga which is something I thoroughly enjoyed. I stayed all day and easily could have stayed longer enjoying all the facilities as there are different rooms for different types of relaxation. I did a sound meditation after sauna yoga and then enjoyed the heated floors in one of the other sauna rooms. The outdoor onsen was wonderful and the water wall outside the steam room looked really cool. I don’t enjoy Japanese food so lunch wasn’t that enjoyable for me but I’m sure it would be fine if that’s your thing. Do not miss if you are in Stockholm,

If you want to discover Japanase culture, you should stay here, especially if you are interested in meditation and want to meet with yourself in silence that was an amazing trip to discover my soul in the nature...

Stuff cozily welcomed us in the reception area and then they explained us what we should wear in the hotel area, which is Yakuta that looks like Kimono.

For the room, it was so clean. The charming thing was Japanese sliding window panels that makes you live in traditional Japanese home.

Regarding to food, we had high expectation, so it was disappointment for us except miso chocolate as a dessert the taste was so good and the other thing is, would be nice to see more Japanese decorations in the restaurant, because the restaurant itself looks like ”regular” restaurant.

Check in and check out time has to be fixed, because we stayed only one day. Checked in time at 15:30 and check out time at 12:00, so in theory we have not stayed one day. This stay was my birthday gift and I really wanted to join sushi course at 14:00, but they didn’t take us because they told us that we should leave right away after check out of a hotel.

I feel like there is a misunderstanding between manager and personnel, because according to offical Yasuragi instagram page shared a post says that there is an instagram contest for the best picture of Yasuragi with hastag, #longingforyasuragi and for the winner there is a surprise, so I wanted to join the contest and I was about to take a picture and then I was ”warned” by personnel that I shouldn’t use my phone to take a picture eventhough I explained the situation, but according to his attitude he did not believe me. He acted like there is no contest and the feeling was not good to be warned front of many guests and this situation ruined our day!

Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the silence and tranquility and of course sorry that the food was not to your liking. Regarding the sushi school it was at 4 p.m. on Fridays and Sundays during July. So the idea was for guests to prebook the sushi school online and participate after check-in at 3.30 p.m. We are sorry if there were any misunderstandings. The Instagram competition was on, but didn´t require a picture taken at Yasuragi and definitely not in our Japanese bath as that is a place always kept free from mobiles and cameras. We are sorry that the information about this didn´t reach the our staff in the Japanese Bath. We do hope to see you back in the future. Warm regards from the team at Yasuragi.
