Casa Botania is a fine small family hotel in the beautiful highland countryside about half between the Wilson Botanical Garden/Las Cruces Biological Station and the town of San Vito de Coto Brus. The beautiful and peaceful place run by a young Tico-Belgian couple, is perched on a mountainside in the Linda Vista neighborhood and enjoys a splendid and spacious view of the valley and the forest of the Las Cruces Reserve. The rooms are cozy with comfortable, modern interior designs that emphasize natural materials. A complimentary breakfast is served in a buffet-style on a unique Gaudi-inspired romantic deck from where you can also bird watch or just enjoy the spectacular views.Casa Botania also offers dinner for their guests. It is a three-course vegetarian menu of the day with a delicious mix of Belgian, Tico and worldy flavors. All ingredients are fresh with most vegetables from their own organic green house. Come and enjoy our Farm-to-Table style dinners.

Casa Botania Lodge is away from the tourist areas and in what I would call, a more authentic Costa Rican location. The lodge is perched on the side of a hill with incredible views of the valley...It really is breathtaking!! Our room had a large covered deck to enjoy the view, a

To illustrate the attentive attitude that these owners exemplify: Kathleen mentioned that she, Pepe & their son stayed in one of their own guest cottages overnight to check amenities. We spent 4 nights at Casa Botania (Feb 1 - 5, 2019) and felt fortunate to be in this fresh,

My wife and I stayed 5 nights. The owners and their staff and family were as pleasant as could be. The grounds and the mountain valley scenery were wonderful. Our room (with kitchenette) was very nice, with a glass front and patio view of that valley. The gourmet meals were

I have stayed at Casa Botania for several days and used it as a base camp to explore nearby National parks (La Amistad, Piedras Blancas, Wilson botanical garden/forest and others) sometimes guided by the owner, who is an excellent enjoyable field guide! He knows all bird species

Hello Barbara, thanks for your question. We normally start at the regular price and when our customers really come back then we start the discounts. For transportation from the border, you can hire a taxi in Paso Canoas and drive one hour up the mountain. It's about $50 for the taxi. We hope to see you soon

Hello and thanks for your question. It can be hot in march but we are at 4000ft so the temperature is nice and cool during the night and warm during the day. Our rooms have ceiling fans though. There are a couple of places to go and swim, even a hot spring. There are indigenous reservations, forests, gardens, and a very large national park in the area. If you would like to have more information about things to do, please visit our website and see what could be of your interest of preference. We hope to see you soon. Casa Botania
