Phenomenal hostel. Super convenient location, great amenities, superb staff, cheap prices, diverse and friendly guests. This place remains a smooth sailing vessel within an ocean of diversity. I've traveled this country staying in many hostels and communes over the years yet this place remains at the top of my list. Even when I tire of skiing, hiking, and partying this place never grows stale. Yet despite its ever-changing nature, there is a sense of grounded community that envelops it. 10/10

Mellow mountain is literally the best hostel. It has such an amazing vibe and everyone always hangs out in the community room including the owner Elias who is a super chill and cool dude, definitely a good host to talk to! The rooms are super nice, we had a double bunk bed room with a bathroom inside, fans, and everything you need. One of the coolest parts about the place is all the art everywhere, you never run out of things to see. Definitely a top recommendation and now my go to spot in Tahoe. Five stars for sure.

I have an excelent time in this hostel, with nice people and an incredible staff. The place is comftable, clean, with good temperature in every room, I went there in december, winter, and never felt cold inside. The kitchen is comftable and clean and there is a really nice common space with a couch and a big table where you can share with the other guests. I loved this place, definitly i want to go back again in a couple of years.

Fantastic hostel. We rolled in exhausted after a wedding and were surprised to find quiet, comfortable beds with the little things that make a hostel great - towels, your own shelf with light, fan & chargers on each bed. The atmosphere was great where there was always someone to have a beer with, or you could get a good night sleep. Was very pleasantly surprised with this place!

I stumbled upon the hostel online and booked immediately when I planned an impromptu trip to Tahoe. Corey, Audrey, Harrison, Andrew, and the rest of the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. It was my first hostel-stay and they all set the bar very high. Rooms were very well kept and clean, common spaces as well. It seemed as though they did a good job at making sure guests cleaned up after themselves. I immediately felt comfortable and got any/all of my questions answered with ease. I got lots of trail suggestions and area information as well. Ty MMH!!!! 🖤
