We were awakened to construction noise before 8am every morning during our stay. Staff apologized profusely but management, conveniently, was never around to address the issue. Checked out Sunday with still no management available and was told they would get a hold of us. It has now been over a week with no response to emails or calls to deal with the issue, but they charged my card the full amount and the lovely resort fee. Other issues - fireplace was a joke to operate and the toilet was loose and rocked.
I had an unexpected 2 night stay I At the Landing in Lake Tahoe and was fortunate enough to be able to schedule an 80 minute Hot Stone Massage with Luisa and a Foot Reflexology and Blue Tahoe Facial with Michelle while there! I didn’t have high expectations as I booked one day in advanced but couldn’t have been more pleased with the quality of service! The tranquil setting of the Spa itself set the tone. I was offered an array of teas while I filled out a brief questionnaire as I sat in a cozy room with a great line of products displayed for purchase. Luisa had excellent technique and relieved my shoulder neck tension while working the hot stones - relaxing every muscle! It’s the kind of massage that you still feel days later! Much gratitude for that. Michelle is like a true scientist with customizing the most amazing selection of serums for my facial to suit exactly what my skin needed. Even my husband noticed the glow and even tone of my face at dinner! My feet - plantar tendons more specifically are still enjoying the reflexology! I now believe I’ll incorporate foot reflexology routinely to keep my plantar tendons healthy! Can’t recommend this Spa - in particularly Luisa and Michelle highly enough. Money WELL SPENT! Amazing view and food! Service is excellent and portions are very generous! It was the perfect meal to end our vacation with! The patio overlooks the lake and it's a great spot to kick back, relax, and be treated to some wonderful food!
This place is HEAVEN! With close proximity to the lake, a great restaurant & fantastic rooms ... you'll not be disappointed. The staff are professional & efficient - special shout out to Dan who makes cracking cocktails! The room was really lovely (Even if the faucets on the tub were at the wrong end so you couldn't look out the window whilst you had a soak!) The fireplace & view were joyous. The shuttle service was also fantastic. They'd drop you off and pick you up at the myriad of restaurants in the area. We had to leave earlier than expected, but we couldn't have been happier with our stay!
They will not service your room unless you stay more than 7 days......Fireplace does not work and service never came to fix....The manager never returned our calls....we ran out of towels and toilet paper.....had to go to CVS to buy toilet paper.....Charged us for resort fee and they would not clean the room....A disaster for a hotel.....you have been warned olli at the other reviews and you will see similarities we should have read reviews before booking........
My husband and I stayed at The Landing during our honeymoon which is a beautiful resort nestled alongside South Lake Tahoe just steps to the downtown area and quick gondola to Heavenly Ski. The whole experience was truly heavenly thanks to Serafina! Serafina was so attentive and made our honeymoon stay so special, we’ll definitely be back for anniversaries!
We stayed here during Winter Break with my family. Location was right on the lake, which would be awesome in the summer. They have a shuttle service to wherever you want to go locally, including the mountain, which is HUGE because ubers were super expensive. You can even walk to town, it's about .3-.4 miles, but no sidewalk for most of it. Spa was great. Jimmy's Restaurant was delish. Room was nice and big. Only drawback was no housekeeping due to covid (or maybe lack of staff due to covid). Everyone was super nice and I would go back.
This is an upscale well maintained property. Rooms are well furnished and clean. Service has gone downhill since previous stay. They aren't cleaning rooms as most hotels are using covid as an excuse to lower their costs.. When you need anything they don't offer to deliver it to your room. You have to trek down to the front desk to pick up anything you need. At their price point they need to deliver to your room. Their added fees-resort fees plus parking are excess.
I checked in The Landing Tahoe for a vacation at Tahoe with my family. This hotel had really nice professional staff. There's a jacuzzi and heated pool. They have a restaurant and spa just downstairs from the floor I was staying at. The food was good, and their spa service was a nice way to really get into the vacation mood. They also provide shuttle rides to where ever you want to go. My family and I used it often, so I would say it was worth the amount they charged per day. Everything is pretty much within walking distance from the hotel. Maybe a 15min walk to the main attractions like heavenly ski resort and all the restaurants. Right next to the hotel is the lake, perfect for morning walks, and the view is pretty dope too. overall I would say I recommend this hotel for a nice getaway…
Had a wonderful stay, beautiful room and view, great staff, but surprize fees at check out. Somehow we missed seeing in the sub menus on the web site that in addition to the room fee per day there is also a $40 Resort Fee (covers WiFi we didn't use, Pool and hot tub unavailable this time of year, small gym we didn't use, Local shuttle service which we did use, and a daily parking fee of $15. They did refund the parking fee since it is listed way down under "Amenities" on their web site but the bottom line is - in addition to your room charge per day you must add $55 a day to stay. Why not just up the rate and include it. Guess they are following the lead of airlines adding fees to their 'fares'. I'd frankly know it all up front, page one before making a reservation. Did have a wonderful meal at "Jimmy's" restaurant that's part of the complex.…
