My husband, our four children, and I arrived in Lake Tahoe at 1am after a long travel day from Texas, only to find the VRBO we had booked, confirmed, and paid for had inexplicably locked us out. We called The Landing at 2am, and Victoria was unbelievably helpful. She managed to find us 2 rooms right across the hall from each other so we could all be together, and the rooms were just lovely. We’ll be forever grateful to Victoria and The Landing. Our stay here was unplanned but wonderful!

I would urge everyone considering staying here to really reconsider. I’m not sure if this is the case now due to COVID, but this place is absolutely awful. I booked a lake front suite for the duration of our 3 night stay. Much to our shock, there was major construction happening on the terrace next door. While in our room, we could even open any of our windows and enjoy the view due to workers being able to see us in our room. Since we didn’t know this, we found out the hard way: one of the workers actually saw my girlfriend naked! On top of that, they started working every morning at 8am and woke us up every day. We expressed this to the staff from day 1 all the way to check out and the only thing they did was offer $75 off my entire stay. Such a joke. I paid upwards of $300/night for a nicer room and their response was pitiful. I will never ever stay at this hotel again and I recommend that everyone be weary of the “5 star” sticker on this low rent absolutely ridiculous excuse for a resort.

430diandray, we are so disappointed to see that your experience with us fell short of your expectations and that you did not find the additional compensation provided to be fair. Please accept our deepest apologies for the inconvenience of the temporary terrace construction and know that we take all of our feedback very seriously and have addressed this with our team. While your time with us was interrupted, we hope that you were still able to enjoy to beauty of Lake Tahoe. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again under better circumstances to be able to provide the 5-star experience for which we are known.

From the time that my wife and I arrived, the staff & service was excellent... most all of our questions were answered before we could ask... all the way down to popular things to do and see in the area (both on the California & Nevada sides). The room and accomodations were excellent as well. Bathrooms had heated floors and seats as well as an inroom fireplace that my wife still hasnt gotten over! Having a room/balcony overlooking the lake, our view was priceless. Over my 30 years of marriage, a romanic is usually somewhere real close, if not at, the very bottom of descriptions that my wife uses to describe me! On this trip... hit one out-of-the park as a surprise getaway for her 60th birthday. We had a breakfast and a dinner at Jimmy's Restaurant and was thoroughly pleased with both the service and the food. It was our first trip to Lake Tahoe... it will not be our last! You can be sure that we will be booking our reservations at The Landing Tahoe Resort & Spa on our next visit... there is so much more to see. Put all this into a great value package and you cannot go wrong if your having great difficulty, like I was, choosing from all the options available in the area.

This was a wonderful 3 night experience. Right on the water. Best clam chowder i have ever had. We sat outside at the restaurant ...located there. The food at Jimmy's... was all around a great experience. We had breakfast...omelet was delicious. Room was clean and beds were so comfortable.
