We really enjoyed the hotel. The location is very nice. While not on the lake it’s still a great location. Downstairs there is a lovely outdoor shopping area with activities (heavenly gondola) and several restaurants. Basically everything you need is within walking distance. The property is well kept with a nice pool area. There are indoor activities too. (Shuffle board, checkers, chess, spa) The rooms may lack the lake view but they are well appointed and clean. The full kitchen in the studio is helpful. My only complaint would be the wildfire smoke that got into our room. It was strong enough that I woke up at 1:30am choking on smoke. Did not make for an ideal anniversary trip but not Marriott’s fault. I just wouldn’t travel there again during fire season. In winter and spring we will definitely stay at the Marriott again.…
Stayed here while on a girls trip with two friends in a rental we got through Airbnb. The location could really not be better. Walking distance to many shops and places to eat. We also walked to Nevada Beach one day, which was a bit of a longer walk, but was mostly nice once you get off the main strip. Our room had two bathrooms, a bedroom and common area with a small kitchen and fireplace. We loved the pool, although it was a bit crowded and there isn't a ton of space for pool chairs. It was nice that they provided pool towels there. Check-in was slow but concierge was great. I believe that they only offer valet parking, which wasn't an issue for us as it was included in our Airbnb, but just something to be aware of. Tahoe is a beautiful area and I would not hesitate to stay here again!…
So we ended up here having checked in then out of another property in LT, it was a bonus that they had availability here . Well appointed studio apartment , perfect for our short stay . Lovely pool area , helpful friendly fron desk staff. The property couldn’t be better positioned right in the heart of Heavenly . We loved our stay here .
The Marriott Grand Residence wouldn't cancel the reservation due to the fires and very unhealthy air quality. My son has asthma and can't be in the smoke. They wouldn't do anything not even reschedule the reservation. They charged full price for the reservation. Website states flexible cancellation policy and supervisor said there was nothing he could do.
Not only is this resort in a prime location, it’s a comfortable, welcoming place to stay. Everyone we met was helpful, kind, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. Any request we had was met with a smile and a can-do attitude. That is rare these days, and it was greatly appreciated. Our rooms were clean, well-equipped, and a short walk to everything we needed. The beds were comfortable with nice linens, and we all slept great. There were no surprises, no hidden charges, no complaints. The vibe here seemed a bit more calm and adult-oriented than its sister property next door, but there were plenty of guests of all ages enjoying the resort. Thank you, Grand Residence! We shall return to this beautiful place to make more family memories!
I liked this hotel. Exactly what we needed midway through a 2 week trip around California. It's a self-catering style apartment with absolutely everything you would need It's location is great. The service was good also. I think we did luck out when getting our car from the valet. I saw a few people moaning that they had been waiting over half an hour, but I didn't experience this. The supermarket over the road is ideally placed and has everything you need.
We stayed here for 1 night, paid a premimum for valet parking. Couldn't check in until 4pm, though booking site said 3. So we waited an hour. When we finally went to our suite (be mindful it's a huge complex, and they put us all the way on the other side so we had to take an elevator to 4th floor then go all the way across and then take another elevator to the 3rd floor to get to our suite), it was nice and spacious and clean. But it was just the overall experience that was lack luster - pretty rude front desk and couldn't accommodate a request for even a 30-minute later check-out. Everything by the book, not even a gesture to appreciate a long time bonvoy member. I get that it's heavily touristed and there's a shortage of staff. I just would have expected more for the premium rates.…
The staff at this resort was nice. We had reserved two three-bedroom units to celebrate my husband’s 50th with family and friends. I had requested that the condos be in close proximity of each other, but unfortunately the concierge team placed us in two condos on opposite ends of the resort from one another. This would have been okay except for the fact that 3 members of our party had mobility issues. Our condos were quite nice and spacious, but were in need of a bit of a refresh. We would stay here again as the location is unbeatable.
The hotel is conveniently located on the south side of the lake bordering CA and NV. Didn’t love that the only parking option was (costly) valet service, but we made it work. Combined was fairly spacious but oddly laid out, particularly the bathroom which had a tiny sink with little counter space. The unit had a small balcony, but with a view that overlooked roofs of other buildings on the property. Kitchen seemed to be well stocked with necessities, but we didn’t use it during our stay. Pool area was somewhat small and quite crowded. Overall service was good.
The hotel was nice and clean and had everything we needed. The gym and pool areas were nice and had lots of activities available if you wanted to participate. The location was good and walking distance to everything, including restaurants, shops and the gondola.
