The cafe is excellent though it could use an extra waffle iron. The rooms are very nice, and the hotel is in a great location. My only complaint is that the front desk checked another guest into our room a few hours after we arrived--much to our surprise, their key opened our door. Otherwise it was a great stay.

The hotel was very nice it was clean I appreciated the continental breakfast. Although when anybody turned on any kind of water or plumbing it was heard throughout our room so that was very disturbing early in the morning when people are getting up taking a shower.

Stayed in the handicap room. Stairwell to upstairs was against my back wall. Obviously there was no sound barrier between the wall and the stairwell. Probably the noises room I've ever stayed in, did not get any sleep. Had to leave after one night. And my room was not refunded for the second night.

Love Base Camp. Very lively place and best pizza in Stateline. Salads are fantastic along with all the drinks. I enjoy spring and summer because you can dine outside. However, winter is fun too during the week. Parking can be a problem so you may have to walk from the Casino parking lots or pay for garage parking which can...

Had a couple of days to spend with my daughter in Tahoe. Super location and the place was very clean. Nice view of the mountain. The value was there when you consider cost, close to downtown, close to the gondola, and well maintained. Would come again.

This gem in South Lake Tahoe is not to be missed! The location is fantastic and the staff were, without exception, accommodating and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and quiet with very nice beds. The hot tub, s'mores, beer and food were all wonderful!

The place was nice, but based on the website, I had higher expectations. "Smores from 5-10" implies that the smores are free, no? The communal dinners on the website were also nonexistent for the nights we were there. Also, parking was an issue, and there was a limited selection of food at the beer garden. The walls were quite thin-...

Staying at Basecamp when you're in Tahoe was definitely a memorable experience, friendly staff, balcony overlooking the snowy mountains was a plus, clean rooms. The only thing is that there is no elevator, so carrying your luggages to the 2nd and 3rd floor was not fun. And their free breakfast was only waffles and bread. Tight parking spaces. Other than...

Basecamp has recently renovated rooms with great service! We booked last minute during a snowstorm and the hotel was a great place to hang out while we were snowed in. Their beer garden has great food and drinks with lots of board games that were perfect for the snowstorm. We loved their hot chocolate bar in the lobby.

The staff was not very welcoming and thorough in terms of providing guidance to people. The check in lobby, and breakfast location was in different sections which can be confusing to people and inconvenient when guests have kids such as myself. There was construction going on also the place was not very presentable and worth the price for the stay...
