We ran into traffic driving to Tahoe so we called and said we would get in after midnight. The receptionist said that was fine, there was a phone outside and a lockbox. When we arrived after midnight the phone didn't work. Then we jiggled and reconnected all the lines and got it to work, only to stand out in the...

So, this was our second visit to Camp Richardson. We booked one large campsite for 7 people. The surrounding sites specified for less people, clearly had more than what was advertised as permitted. Fine, not necessarily my problem, except they kept walking through our campsite to get to the bathroom...they walked between the tents, lifting up the clothesline, and were...

We rented 3 cabins and stayed 3 nights. Cabins are rustic and kitchens are small, but they were perfect for our family stay. Not super touristy like Heavenly. The staff was always friendly and the hotel sold discount tickets for Sierra ski resort. Beds were comfortable and cabins were clean.

Background: Being from Vermont, we had a chance to visit a family member living near Lake Tahoe. We found Camp Richardson. We visited in early November filled with bright, sunny days. We never saw another guest during our 6 day stay; we heard there may have been another couple there while the three of us enjoyed the beauty, peace, and...

We were supposed to stay here for 2 nights for a wedding. The hotel was fully booked for this event. Options were to stay Thursday and Friday or Friday and Saturday. We chose to check in on Friday. Somewhere along the way, there was a miscommunication either on our party's side or on the hotel's side. On Saturday we got...

And overall had a pleasant stay. We stayed off season so there was not many people there so we had loads of space but I can imagine that it is quite cramped in high Peak as the sites are close to each other and not very big. Warning signs to keep food locked in a bear locker ... our rv...

Incredible experience, the captain is really nice, the view from all the sides of the cruise are incredible, we didn't want to leave. Totally recommended to pass the afternoon in Tahoe. They serve drinks each one is 9 dollars, i think it should be include but apart from that is very nice.

When I first booked Camp Richardson (CR) for a reunion with friends from various places in the world, I was a little reluctant. As a group we are used to traveling and staying in 5 star resorts. But CR was highly recommended by a local friend. The pictures on the website are accurate. The hotel was a "nicer" lodge. The...

The RV campground is large and fairly spread out with the spaces randomly numbered and fairly close together. Not a problem in the off season, though it may be a little cramped in peak season. The trees are mature and growing into some of the RV spaces, they are in need of a little maintenance - we had to saw...

While traveling through, we decided to camp at Lake Tahoe on a Friday evening. We didn't have reservations and were beginning to get concerned about finding a place to stay for the night. Camp Richardson had availability, though their single sites were all full and their double sites were very expensive. At the front desk, the attendant took our information...
