A smallish motel next to South Lake Tahoe, CA. A short walk to lakefront and Nevada side casinos. The room itself was quite small. When you turned the faucet on it was like a waterfall was unleashed. But after all it was dirt cheap. So I can't really complain.

This hotel is on a quiet street a block west of Lake Tahoe Blvd which makes it perfect to unpack and forget about the hassle of driving once you arrive, if you don't mind walking into town. Our room was average in size with a comfortable bed, a warm heater equipped with a fridge and a microwave. We enjoyed our...

Stayed last week at Blue Jay Lodge. The reception is very friendly and will answer your queries about SLT. The room is clean and come with breakfast. We stayed in big room with 3 queen beds. The property location is very near the Harvey's and Harrahs. recommended and will return again.

This has an excellent location to the casinos- just one block away. The breakfast is simple: donuts, bananas, cereal, tea and coffee. The rooms are always clean. The only thing that bothers me is the stream of light from outdoors that comes into your room. It's never totally dark which makes it a little harder to fall asleep. Other than...

We were delighted with our accommodation and had a most enjoyable stay. Brilliantly handy to the centre of town and a short walk from the lake. The room was Large, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was unexpected and most welcome. Staff were welcoming and helpful. I would commend this motel/ Lodge to others without hesitation

Room was an excellent value and the front desk reception was great. 1 minute walk to casino, 3 minute drive to Edgewood golf course, 3 minute walk to public access beach, 5 minute walk (due to construction and traffic lights) to Heavenly Gondola and numerous restaurants. Parking is tight if you have a very large vehicle - 4 door full...

Everything in Lake Tahoe is expensive. We found the blue jay on Priceline for a reasonable rate for an overnight stay. We booked the room and was glad we did. We were able to walk to the water front and on the way stopped to hear live music. The room was clean and comfortable. I would stay here again.

If you only need a place to sleep and are less than particular, the Blue Jay will do. The only up side is it is a convenient location. The motel is very dated and doubt that it has ever been updated. I'm not sure why it got a better rating online than I am willing to give it?

My 1st nights stay (Thurs.) was surprisingly decent for the price-around $65.00 for a queen. Upon check-in they said I was upgraded to a king-it was on the bottom floor, close to the office, & very roomy. Seemed to be a handicap room as the bathroom was very spacious also. Nice updates-flatscreen tv, frig/freezer, microwave, coffee maker. The next 2...

We absolutley love this lodge! The owners are so helpful, courteous and the rooms are very clean and across the street from Harvey's & Harrah's, the shops at Heavenly and the Beer Garden at Base Camp next door with live music. This is our 3rd year staying with them on our annual family road trip and they are very consistent...
