So, Ian and Jane are the people who own and run TS B&B... they are characters who you feel as if you have known for years. Peter - more about him in a minute. This is a great bed and breakfast, run by the gregarious Jane and the hilarious Ian. They make the place and made us feel at home... More

Wonderful place with a wonderful hostess! We got a lovely warm welcome when we stopped in to see if there was availability for that night. Could not be happier! Everything we could need and much more! And the garden was adorable!

We stayed for one night on our way north. It does make an ideal stopover when travelling from Auckland. The owners are friendly and helpful; they are justifiably proud of the garden in which there are numerous interesting plants including fruitful vines. You may be invited to handfeed the tame eels! The furnishings are a bit dated and tired but... More

My Mum, Dad & I stayed here last night as we were visiting family in the area. Dad & I loved Beetles the friendly cat & he kept us company in our massive fully equipped, self contained upstairs "apartment" for the first 2 hours of our visit (although Jane assured us she would whisk him away if we weren't cat... We stayed in the top floor unit. The place was clean and tidy, and included all the basics - cooking oil, salt, dish washing liquid, tissue paper etc. It was a very comfortable stay as the unit had a roof fan, as well as air conditioning. At night it was peaceful and dark, no distracting lights or sounds. Hosts are... More
