I absolutely loved this resort. From the moment you set foot in there you can start relaxing. They welcolme you so kindly, take you to your room or even give you a tour of the place if you want. The hotel service aims to please you and they really go their way to make you feel better than at home. The spa is a must see & must do! The diving school right there offers such an amazing opportunity to explore the ocean. If you dont dare to dive, you can snorkel at the hotel´s reef - which was also so worth-seeing! The restaurant offers a variety of internationals meals that are to die for but I really recommend you to try the balinese dishes! Everything is made and cooked with care and love. I honestly cannot wait to come back to this amazing hotel, I had never felt such at peace!

Stayed in Alam Anda for 12 nights for diving the north-east coast of Bali. Excellent beach front resort with very friendly, helpful and attentive staff. The rooms are separate bungalows in balinese style with a close to nature feeling. They are clean and comfortable.
The restaurant with an ocean view serves both international and balinese courses. Service is quick and attentive and I only had well prepared and tasty dishes.
The dive centre on the resort is called Mavi Diving. Very knowledgeable and accommodating high quality dive guides. Even with 23 dives there, they were able to provide new experiences for me every time. Also at the dive centre the staff was a pleasure to be around.
Only drawback is that the resort is a little pricey compared to the south coast of Bali, but to me the total experience was well worth the price.
Can be recommended both as a quiet getaway and as a base for diving the northeast coast.

Various types of bungalows are scattered throughout a very well-kept garden. We stayed in a seaview bungalow (pile dwelling). The bungalow is simply but functionally equipped. Air conditioning, bed, bedside table, bench, open cupboard and a large fridge. There is a safe in the cupboard, the fridge is stocked with drinks, and two bottles of fresh drinking water are provided every day. Next to the bed, to the left and right, there are sockets (mobile phone charging within reach! No adapter necessary), umbrellas, flashlight.
The bathroom is half open and needs a bit of renovation, but the shower and toilet work great (which is not always a given), only the washbasin has a tap with water that is almost naturally warm. In front of the house there is a shaded veranda with a table and 2 chairs and a large lounge area for relaxing, on the side of the house there is a clothesline (bring pegs!), in the bathroom there are lots of hooks for hanging things and a towel rack, hair dryer, everything very clean, we had a gecko in the house, or rather bathroom, which did its job excellently, there were no other animals such as mosquitoes, spiders or anything like that. In general, the whole complex is very clean! We almost always ate in the resort (with a sea view), the food is very good, the staff extremely nice and friendly. Before and after dinner we liked to sit in the bar, right by the sea and watch the little bats with a drink. We actually wanted to go diving, but the conditions were not quite what we had imagined, so we explored the north of the island from east to west with the excursions offered by the hotel. We always traveled in pairs with a driver who was not only a good and calm driver, but also adapted the trips to suit our interests and, above all, showed us and explained a lot.
And then I would like to mention the spa, very nice ladies pamper us here, highly recommended.
The beach is not very inviting because it is steep and rocky and there is something like a surf, but the pool is wonderful and rarely visited, I only shared it with a few flower petals. There are loungers with cushions and of course pool towels.
As for diving, I would like to say that that was actually our plan, but entering the house reef, slippery steps and slippery sand and lugging equipment ourselves - we didn't want that, and boat trips: information: drive to a parking lot, then with equipment across the road, rocks, walk with equipment - no, that's not what we imagined, in the neighboring resort the diving guests boarded the boat practically in front of the front door and the equipment was brought on board, just as we know it and would have wanted. So we gave up after the check dive and saw a bit of the wonderful island instead, we even went to a winery (with impeccable wine, which is also available in the resort).
Summary: Despite the hassle with the diving, it was a very nice holiday, relaxing, with many wonderful impressions and aha moments, particularly nice, friendly, helpful people, and the resort is definitely recommended, the diving service could be improved.

The property is beautiful, very well maintained and in the morning the sun rises from the sea.
-Paradise ambience-

The accommodations are clean and so far ok, only the wifi is very weak.
The food is too much on average but you should not expect...
If you like waffles... in the morning you can bake them yourself ;-)

The staff is very friendly and helpful.
We have felt interest very comfortable.

For divers (especially beginners) the place is almost perfect. The house reef is just a few meters from the beach.
The entry may require a little more attention on the rope in case of waves.

Mavi Diving is highly recommended.
The very caring guides prepare everything for a carefree dive.
Dennis ein (North German “Jung”) runs the dive center very conscientiously according to strict German standards.

100 points from me!

This resort is at the North end of the island, about 2 hours from the nearest major tourist hubs. That was perfect for us and exactly what we were looking for.

The grounds are immaculate, the setting is beautiful, the food is great (local and international), and the staff were just wonderful. So friendly and accommodating, they really made the stay.

We were in Villa Lumba Lumba and it really is something quite special.

I chose the Alam Anda for 3 weeks in February, primarily for diving and as a starting point for excursions. It is a little outside of the tourist "strongholds", but that was just right for me. The guys from the Mavi Diving Center are so on their toes and can find even the smallest snail for you. And after successful dives, you are further spoiled by the beautiful facility and the hotel staff. I don't think I've ever eaten so well! Of course, it can be really oppressively hot in the rainy season. But in an absolute emergency, you can cool down briefly in the air-conditioned room. And there are also fans for sensitive diver's ears. Overall, I really liked my bungalow. More than spacious, super clean and with a wonderful view of the garden. You could even enjoy a few showers on the covered terrace. The weeks flew by far too quickly. Definitely worth repeating!

We had a lovely stay at Alam anda for our honeymoon. Everybody was sweet and the service was in top. They made special bread for my gluten allergy. The food and the hygiene was perfect.
The only thing not so good is that the hotel is far away from everything. So you need a car or taxi to get anywhere and the 3 hour ride from the airport is long and bumpy. But just enjoy the beautiful nature along the way.
My husband took scuba lessons and for that the hotel is perfect.

I had a great stay in this amazing resort, it was quiet and relaxed during my stay here. The staff is amazing, the booking team (especially Samy) is always reachable and open for a call 👌

We had few dives, the guides did a great job, we saw an amazing underwater world in several rare fishes, especially for Makro photography the place is awesome!

We slept in a sea view house, the accommodation was a bit older but we loved the “Balinese” style of it!

The restaurant is good, they served great food but, bit price but worth it.

Thank you dear Alam Anda, we will come back in 2023!!!

Stay safe, Ulli

Clean and comfortable bungalow. Nice resort. Good restaurant. Great staff.
However, their site led me to believe there would be yoga on site. There was not. Also the spa was disappointing. Lovely staff, but massages were below par. Booked the 130 minutes treatment but was left alone for half an hour of that. The full body massage was okay. The ‘Ayurvedic’ head massage was anything but that and very short. As was the sea salt foot spa and massage.
If you are a diver this is a great place to go as they have their own diving school and daily excursions.
If you want nothing more than to relax, sunbathe and eat lovely food this is also fine. But if you book for yoga and spa treatments (as had I), forego this place. However lovely the setting and the staff might be.

After almost 4 years we were able to visit the Alam Anda for the fourth time. The first time since it was no longer under the management of Werner Lau.
As enthusiastic regular guests we can say that nothing has changed. The wonderful team has remained the same. We were warmly welcomed and it was like coming home!
The service is simply perfect, every wish is practically read from your eyes. The friendliness of the employees is unparalleled. From the gardener to the reception staff to the restaurant team, everyone always had a smile on their face.
The quality of the food in the restaurant is very good and we enjoyed everything. A visit to the spa is also a must. Wonderful atmosphere and very good massages.
We would also like to recommend the diving center (Mavi Diving Bali), perfect service, very individual diving, here too every, really every wish was fulfilled. Many thanks to the entire team (Komang, Ketut, Nyoman and the rest) We had unforgettable dives with you and will definitely come back!!!! Please keep it up!!!!
Conclusion: We can unreservedly recommend the Alam Anda to people who are looking for peace and quiet, who want to relax and combine it all with wonderful dives!!!!!!
