This was my third time running a yoga retreat here ant Gaia. I feel so lucky to have found this hidden gem in North Bali.

It’s still very Balinese in all of the best ways possible. Minimal western influence with just the right amount of modern amenities needed.

The grounds of both the mountain, and beach resort are stunning and immaculately kept, with a special thanks to the gardeners on site daily. The beach front location at Pantai is dreamlike. The palm trees, the sunrise, the dolphins … I could go on, but you’d never believe me.

The rooms are all quite individual and very tastefully decorated in their own styles. Please beware there is no aircon but instead you are provided fans which I believe is just enough to keep you comfortable.

The restaurant is incredible and serves the most delightful health focused foods, from scrumptious vegan / vegetarian delights to Ayurvedic brews.

The staff are gorgeous and go above and beyond in every way possible and i can only sing their praises.

There is a strong community influence here and they are very big on creating a positive impact on the local villages through various initiatives which is great to see and donate to (if you can!).

I hope to continue coming to Gaia for many years to come. Truly is a home away from home.

A big thank you to Putu and her amazing team for yet another immaculate week at Gaia Oasis.

We are so grateful for everything and the week we had, and the inclusion in the culture and rituals was something we will treasure forever.

The resort is calm and breathtakingly beautiful. You'll be immersed in nature and in the truest and most hospitable version of North Bali. The food is absolutely amazing and the staff is the most attentive staff I have ever seen - everyone learns your name right on the first day! I truly felt in paradise in Gaia. I highly recommend the dolphin cruise! Many many thanks to Putu and team!

Dear Claire, Thank you very much for taking the time to write this positive review. We are so happy you had an enjoyable experience during your retreat with Sunny Ju, and that you found our food amazing. Thank you too for recommending our dolphin tour. We are proud that the local fishermen respect the dolphins; they were trained by Reefcheck International and work hard to protect our sea and our environment. I will share your warmly positive and encouraging review with the staff, thank you! They will be more than happy with your feedback. They work very hard to look after our guests and it will provide them with great encouragement to keep doing what they do so well. We hope you return one day for another stay. Peace and Blessings, Putu

A friend and I recently hosted a yoga retreat at Gaia for 15 of our students from Australia. From the start of booking to departing the resort the overall experience was one of calm and ease. Putu and Eta were exceptional in guiding us through what needed to be done by when.
Upon arrival our ladies were just blown away by the location and the quality of the accommodation. We received a beautiful Balinese welcome dance and a blessing at the onsite temple on arrival before settling into the blissful energy of easy days and peaceful nights at Gaia.
The Yoga shala facilities for teaching are exceptional with all equipment provided complete with ocean soundtrack!
The resort is beautifully maintained and the staff have a warm and gentle attentiveness that ensures all needs are met but still provide space to simply be.
We could not have wished for any more than we received, my friend and I had met at the resort 5 years earlier and it was wonderful to see that their impeccable standards were just as they were from that time.
I just can't wait to return to this slice of heaven that provides such a nourishing cocoon to retreat to.

I took my family for a quiet time at the mountain expecting quiet! Unfortunately BAD experience as the locals around have the habit of listen very loud music PUMPING their speakers right in front of us. Two days of a night mare. Second day the music woke us up at 5:50 AM! Surreal that in the beautiful place we encounter this problem. I did complain the first day and I supposed the locals decided to show who has the louder voice putting LOUD music even before the sun rise! the hotel cut off from the bill one massage as a complementary . I have to say the staff was adorable the rooms very clean and you find everything you need inside. They must make a serious deal with the locals around regarding this speaker blasting music.

Dear Ibu Claudia, On behalf of the management, we want to extend our sincerest apologies concerning the issue with the loud music you have faced during your stay. We appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention. I have tried to approach the neighbor to turn down the music on the day when you check in after I got a call from my team that you got complained for the situation. The people were understood and make it down the level of the sound and even turn it off. But unfortunately the situation is happened again on the second day. I am very sorry we have failed to give your family a quiet time at the mountain as expected during your stay. I have taken it up with the teams involved and we will follow up this situation, to maintain our places as quiet as we can. Again so sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you so much for your comments on our staff and about the rooms. Much appreciate it. We are so sorry this has marred your impression of our retreat and that we do hope to get an opportunity to welcome you back home again soon Peace and Blessings, Putu

I have just returned from a week stay at Gaia Oasis Mountain Retreat.
The retreat is located in the hilly mountain and it’s beautifully presented surrounding a lush green in a four hectares estate in Tejakula. Gaia Oasis has also a salt water pool, which overlooking the valley. There is also a range of walking trails, including a beautiful terrace with stunning views where the sky meets the ocean- it’s just amazing.

Gaia Oasis is also a non-profit foundation in North Bali, which support families in Tejakula with school supplies, tutoring class and scholarship program.

I highly recommend it and you can for sure find your balance and reconnect to yourself.

There are actually no words that will truly do justice to the complete and utter magic that is Gaia Oasis Beach Resort. From the picturesque location, to the gorgeously appointed bungalows, the ocean-side pool, the exceptional spa, to the insanely delicious food. Above all is the loving, attentive, above and beyond hospitality of the Gaia staff. Every single person is so warm and eager to ensure you have the most exceptional time. I will return back here over and over as there is truly no other place like it.

Hidden gem in Bali! I stayed in the jungle part of the resort for a month and cannot recommend it enough. The staff are the most incredible, attentive, and warm people I've met. Kadek and Sri were especially helpful during my stay.

You quickly feel at home. The location itself is stunning, like nothing I've seen before. It's so unique with a positive, uplifting energy that rejuvenates you. The land is breathtaking with it's views, natural pool, and surrounding nature.

The food is some of the best I've ever had. They pick the papaya fresh off the trees in the area as well as the other foods -- you can taste the difference! The best fruit I've had in my life was at Gaia.

Overall, it is a must visit that you don't want to miss out on. Thank you so much for everything!

a perfect combination of Balinese hospitality, attention to details, and sustainable practices in graceful and lovely surroundings. Aun and Eta made our group feel like family. The food is amazing and grown on their property in the mountains. The Gaia Foundation supports the village of Tejakula in a multitude of ways. I loved the outdoor shower, the desk overlooking the ocean, and the dolphin sunrise boat trip.

Gaia was such a beautiful stay. Quiet, in the middle of the mountains. Beautiful rooms, location and mountain surroundings. All the staff were very accommodating and welcoming. I also loved their ethics, growing all their produce on the property and being conscious of the environment. Will definitely stay again next time I am in Bali!

What an incredible place! The natural environment is gorgeous, the gardens are so beautifully looked after. The staff were incredible friendly, attentive and helpful and were happy to look after our every need. They learnt our names very quickly and always called us by name.
Eta is the sweetest man and it was so wonderful to see his gentle way with the local children who he teaches the sacred dance to.
Our bungalow was lovely, and beautifully cleaned every day. Love the outdoor shower!
The yoga space is gorgeous and very spiritual.
It was very special learning to make flower offerings and pray at the resort's temple with Eta and Putu.
The food is delicious and healthy, and varied.
The spa treatments are excellent and very luxurious.
I really enjoyed going snorkelling off the beach and saw lots of amazing fish.
Thanks so much for an incredible stay - it was very hard to say goodbye!

Dear Alina (it is Alina, yes? No name was mentioned), So sorry about the delay, I lost the link & couldn't answer. Yes, we are all good here. Our focus has been on the refugees; Gaia is in a Safe Evacuation Zone housing 17.000 refugees and we have been helping where we can, in the Tejakula Evacuation Centre. Do have a look at our website, under Gaia Foundation - Mt Agung Appeal; we have also uploaded pictures there. People are strong although families are splitting up, & everyone is sharing. Thanks for keeping us in your thoughts, & I will pass the message on to our staff. Blessings & hugs, Yen

Dear Emily, thanks for wanting to book at Gaia beach. Yes,the beach is licensed for beer and wine, but not for hard liquor or cocktails. Our mountain retreat offers beer only. The nearest place which serves cocktails or spirits is Teluk Karang dive resort,15-20 mins drive away. Hope this helps, Yen
