Excellent place to stay. Very welcoming from the minute the bikes rolled in. They also had secure storage organised. Food was freshly made and they accommodated my dietary restrictions. The real fire was very welcoming and sitting there with a book after and 80 mile cycle was heaven! The bedroom was impressive and had everything you could possibly need. The bed was extremely comfortable and a great nights sleep was had. The breakfast was great and plenty of choices. The view into the gardens in the morning was gorgeous. The hosts are amazing and nothing is a hassle. Will hopefully revisit one day.
My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in September and truly enjoyed ourselves. The hosts made us feel incredibly welcome. The inn was wonderful and beautifully furnished. The included breakfast was amazing and dinners in the dining room were absolutely delicious. Service was efficient and beyong friendly and really enhanced our visit. I would rwholeheartedly ecommend this inn to anyone considering a visit to the area.
Last minute check in, friendly reception, locals ales priced appropriately, lovely super toasty room, and food served at short notice with no moaning! Breakfast outstanding. If you are planning to stay around Brecon, book in. Can do attitude is a must but not always found in hotels nowadays, these guys are outstanding. BW David .
Stopped off hoping to get lunch and was met by Basil Fawlty's cousin who blocked our entry, told us 'we don't do lunch' and then just stood and glared at us until we escaped. Very rude, no attempt to direct us anywhere else.
We stayed at this hotel for a 3 night break as it is in a great position to visit lots of places, particularly the Brecon Beacons. First impressions were very good. The owner Roy was a delightful chap as was his wife Judith and they made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I have rather a rare food allergy and they were only too glad to make sure what I ate was ok for me. The room we had was spotlessly clean, had excellent free wifi and even though our room faced the road we did not get too much road noise thanks to the secondary double glazing. The room had tea and coffee making facilities which offered a variety of hot drinks. The bathroom had free toiletries. The hotel has its own restaurant and Roy the owner is an excellent Chef. The meals of an evening were absolutely beautiful and could not be faulted. Also the cooked breakfast in the morning was one of the best that we have ever had and truly set us up for the day. The hotel has its own bar and has a good selection of wines and beers to choose from. The seating areas in the hotel are all very comfortable and also they have a tv room as the bedrooms do not have a TV in them. The hotel has plenty of good free parking. My husband and I could not fault this hotel at all and Roy and Judith made our holiday as they are so welcoming and we would sit chatting to them in the evening after our meal. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this hotel and can't wait to go back again!…
