Maggie is an exceptional host and made us feel welcome from the start. We stayed 3 nights in an upstairs front room, which had a couple of easy chairs and tv plus comfortable bed in a reasonable size room. Approach to the room was up a very narrow staircase so would advise anyone with any sort of mobility issue to request a downstairs room. Breakfast at a large table with other guests meant that we got to meet other residents. Will definitely stay again if we are in the vicinity.

Our four night stay at Mallard Grange was wonderful, the room was large and comfortable and the breakfasts were excellent! Maggie went out of her way to make us feel welcome and was full of helpful suggestions of places to go and pubs to eat at. She made the last few days of our holiday in England ( we live in Canada) very special, and we hope to stay with her the next time we are over. Jo and Phil

Lovely room - very comfortable & Maggie had thought of everything (loved the shortbread 😋). The breakfast was amazing - good quality food and cooked to perfection. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others & hopefully we will return one day.

We would highly recommend a stay at this B&B. Maggie is an excellent host, the room and breakfast were all to a very high standard. Maggie was very helpful in advising us on were to eat dinner & sights to see. If ever we get back to England we would love to stay again.

Our room was large, light and quiet and the beds wonderfully comfortable. Breakfasts were the best! Delicious, generous and beautifully cooked by our delightful hostess, Maggie, who also produced honey from her own bees and various home-made preserves. We've never seen more choices on a breakfast menu! This is a working farm and our view from the breakfast table, over a deep bed of irises, was of livestock grazing on the far side of a ha-ha. Idyllic. We would have no hesitation in recommending this as an excellent base for visiting the Yorkshire Dales.

Oh thank you, what a super review and I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay here at Mallard Grange Farmhouse B&B so much! We are very lucky to be located in such a lovely area of countryside near Fountains Abbey, however, we do put a lot of effort into our breakfast menu and as you say, the homemade jams, marmalade and honey from our bees go down really well with our guests (makes getting the odd sting worthwhile!). Your kind comments mean a lot, many thanks. Every good wish Maggie and Team
