After reading the amazing reviews I did have high expectations but was left rather underwhelmed. The hotel is modern and clean and the pool area looked nice. The room was OK but the fixtures and fittings of poor quality with the towel rail coming away in the bathroom and the door stop not fixed to the floor. It doesn't feel... More

The hotel is small but very clean and neat. The staff is very friendly. We stayed in a family suite. It was renovated, very spacious with inroom kitchen. The hotel is on the beach and close to Prinos town. I will definitely go back for a longer trip.

We visited The Socrates Plaza in July. The owner George made us feel welcome straight from the coach. Basic self catering hotel but offered breakfast at a cost. The pool was on the beach and it was all very well kept. I has a free scuba diving session in the pool as this was offered by the hotel. We ate... More

A great place to go for a chilled week on the beach if you don't want to do much. Hotel has all the basics you need and a well stocked bar. The area around is pretty small and some good restaurants to eat at, definitely try Nest!

It is very rare that I feel so compelled to write something regarding another persons holiday, but I feel that I need to make a response to joyce63 comments. Simply IGNORE THEM!!! My family and I have visited the island and stayed at Socrates Plaza a total of 18 times. That speaks for itself. I too have stayed in both... More

We returned from the Socrates last Sunday and I can honestly say it is hands down, the worst holiday experience of my life. Thomson have been very clever with their use of the hotel photos on their website and brochure. At first glance the hotel gives the appearance of being contemporary, verging on luxurious. However, nothing could be further from... More

Well Socrates is definitely punching above it's weight in the classification as a 3 star hotel ! With it's beach front location, stunning views and easy access to transport links for the island and mainland it can be described as idyllic . So many people return year after year ,which is testament to the service and attention to detail that... More

This was our first b&b and visit to Greece in 20 years after globe trotting around the world but as a couple we wanted to rekindle our teenager years when we used to visit various Greek islands I was very nervous about the whole idea of b&b and my every whim not been catered for by the vast army's of... Well where do I start with the Socrates Plaza. On arrival our party of five were put in 2 family rooms in the rear building. These rooms were grubby to say the least. These particular rooms were not shown anywhere on the website and if we had seen them in advance we would definitely not have booked them. Our room... More

Spent a week here 18-25 sept 2016. We had a deluxe room in the rear block it was just what we wanted so peaceful the only noise was your own flip flops. Ideal place to go at the end of the season to unwind before the chaos of xmas and the winter ahead George and his team are very helpful... More
