English speaking people tend to visit Mesonlonghi (and there must be five different ways to spell it) either for the wild life or because this is where Byron died. Either way, the choice of hotels is limited. The Theoxenia has a fabulous location on a small peninsular at the the edge of the city overlooking the extensive lagoons. Once upon...

Another year, another review and sadly, no change. As we had friends with us, we asked for two garden rooms as we felt it would be nice to have a terrace looking straight onto the garden. The confirmation came and everything seemed fine. On arrival the female receptionist (who could be a prison warden) handed us keys to third floor...

Overnight stay in early January. Very few customers. Extremely courteous receptionist. Decent pricing. No central heating. Air conditioning unit provided instead allowing for desiccated conditions. The room was large and the bathroom facilities adequate. Quiet area and scenic location outside the centre of that historic town, Messolongi.

Cosy clean rooms. The rooms are airconditioned, though I think you can sleep with the windows oper to feel the breeze from the lagoon. Most of the rooms view to the lagoon, the back rooms to the back garden full of trees. Typical breakfast. Friendly atmosphere, good service Cheap rooms.

We have been coming here almost every year for the last four years, usually for a festival in neighbouring Etoliko. Unfortunately, the hotel is tired and needs complete redecorationt: the corridors and stairs carpet is very badly stained, electrical wires are left uncovered above room doors, leather couches are breaking at the seams... Christos at reception does his very best...

I got married september 2014 and did the party at this hotel. The rooms needed renovation but they were clean both the rum and beds but also the bathroom. Fantastic view to the lagoon. In my opinion the best hotel-choise to staying in the city of Mesologgi. In my occasion we were (un)lucky and it rained during the wedding-party. I...

Its location is just perfect and nice. The staff are very friendly, polite and professionals. The hotel however, needs renovation and silent proof walls. Because the stairs are made of metal, you could heat anyone going up or down. Most noise comes from the hall, and if those passing by are not careful its asif they are in the room with...

Although it is located in an impressively beautiful natural landscape, it provides less than the basics in comfort and cleanliness without responding at all to the changing needs of the tourism market. The staff was helpful in every regard but that wouldn't be enough so as not to leave with a quite disappointing impression, especially having in mind that this...

Big old hotel with dark hall. Hotel really needs renovation. Located by the sea in a big park, with excellent access and large parking. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, a balcony overlooking the park and the sea, air condition, mini fridge, small TV with Greek program, free internet. It's clean and comfortable, but at first sight shows that the best days...

The hotel is very very old! Old furniture, old carpets, old wall painting, old rooms, old everything. Very old!!! We slept here only one night so we didn't mind this but what was really annoying and kept us from sleeping almost all night was the loud music! Down in the restaurant was a wedding and the music was very very...
