Unfortunately travel everywhere is limited but dream about a beautiful romantic trip to an island where you can chill all day on a beautiful stretch of beach or hike amazing trails, seeing beautiful birds with excellent guides, and snorkel Food is delicious; staff courteous, informative and proud of their country. The bungalow is beach front but so private the bathtub, shower, sink are outside - A hawk landed on our sink area - It takes time to get there but its all worth it

This is an incredible resort on a beautiful island. Most of the time you feel you have the island and the amazing staff to yourself. Waiter, guides, chef, everyone working the island is truly the best. The food was always very good and we learned so much from the local guides. I would recommend the 'Secrets of the Island' tour in particular. The facilities were all 5-star, with thoughtful amenities. The staff clearly have a lot of pride in their property and they all really did a fantastic job. My only complaint is the children that took over the facilities on our last day on the island. Luckily, the family with children didn't arrive until our last day, but nothing wrecks the magic of this place's solitude like kids sprinting around the pool, crying on the beach chairs, getting screamed at in the dining room by their father to get off their cell phones, and hanging off the barstools pestering the wait staff about boogie boards. The facilities on the island are mostly about relaxation in peace and the activities I participated in don't really seem to lend themselves to kids, so you'd probably be doing them a favor leaving the kids behind. Your fellow guests will certainly be glad you did.

Our family of 5 (kids ages 9, 12, 14) stayed in the Beachfront Villa Estate for 4 nights over New Year’s. We absolutely loved the amazing villa, the resort pool and beach and mostly the incredible staff. Food and drinks were wonderful and the staff was about the most friendly and accommodating we have ever encountered in our travels. The island jungle location was an absolute treat - we truly felt like we were away from it all in such beautiful surroundings. There are enough activities to keep busy if you wish - we chose to do rock fishing, plenty of paddle boarding and decided to take the full day snorkel trip to Isla Secas. The trip is extra $ but reasonably priced and totally worth it. We had a snorkel guide, captain and chef along for the day - after snorkeling we went to another island and they prepared a lovely lunch over a fire. Highly recommended - the snorkeling was excellent with so many gorgeous fish - we felt like we were dropped into an aquarium! Thanks to all the amazing staff at Isla Palenque, it was truly a memorable trip!

A girls trip we will never forget! The island was so beautiful, but what sealed the deal here was the amazing service. Everyone was courteous and willing to go the extra mile to provide great service. The food in the restaurant was amazing from the Peruvian chef. The drinks are also great. The views you get from the villa are amazing. The room has everything you need. No TVs on the island means you get to disconnect. We’re from Houston and the staff went above and beyond so we could watch the World Series game on an iPad. I will definitely come back and recommend you try this island in the beautiful country of Panama!
