Researched on the top castle hotels in Italy and Castello Bevilacqua was always on the top 5. Getting there via train is an adventure in itself. We were coming from Pisa and took 4 different trains. Enjoy the Italian countryside on the way. Once we arrived, their friendly staff escorted us to our room and wow! Felt like living in... More

My husband and I spent 3 nights at this amazing hotel. We had a car and used the hotel as a home base as we toured various wine regions. We stayed from a Monday and Wednesday and the hotel was very quiet. We felt like we had the castle to ourselves! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us... More

Great place for one night but doesn't work as a hotel, free tourist attraction and wedding venue all in one. Tourists can wander around all floors and tried to get into our room, we also felt in the way picnicking in the garden as the entire venue was booked out for two weddings and the restaurant was fully booked for... As the brochure says, "Una Notte per sognare", translates to "A night for dreaming". This beautiful castle, built originally in 1336, has undergone considerable changes and restoration throughout it's years. The most recent incarnation is a loving restoration showcasing the beauty of days gone by. We stayed in a beautiful tower room with a large "royal" bed with flowing gossamer... More

Once you arrive on the property, you can feel you’ll have a great time. The Castle is perfectly restored and it feels like you’re travelling in time. We stayed here on a Monday. It was very quiet with very few other guests; once we arrived we asked if we could get a coffee somewhere, they made us coffees despite the... More

January is not the best month to stay in this castle, it must be gorgeous in April or May. Neverthelss the castle has character, this was a real medieval experience. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was not the best. They could ofer some local products (cheeses...).

On arrival we distubed the front of house team of 3 who were having a deep conversation. No attempt to greet us. We should have left there and then, but we had already paid. We stayed two nights in a suite room 202, ...large room. On second floor. On the floor above us the staff were preparing for a banquet/wedding,... More

We were stunned at the elegance and grandeur of our room and the castle in general. Room 205 had 25 ft high ceilings, gothic furnishings and period art, including a 12 ft tall painting of biblical proportion and theme. The bath had a barrel vaulted ceiling and gold foil walls with a deluxe five point shower. The king bed was... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Legends say that the historical residences have a soul, but there are some castles which are so old that their basis have been changed into roots, and their charm has been unchanged in the course of time. In the heart of the Verona plain, between the cities of Verona, Vicenza, Padova and Rovigo, there is an authentic castle of the fourteenth century: it is the Relais Castello Bevilacqua. A magic place suspended between the past and the present, a historical residence that hosts events and offer enchanting holidays. Let you be captivated by emotion, let you be seduced by tradition. In the heart of Veneto you are the guest of history, you are the guest of Relais Castello Bevilacqua. ... more   less
