This Tuscookany trip was incredible. I had high expectations, based on reviews and it exceeded ALL of them. The villa is beautiful and picturesque. Lena makes you feel like family. Franco is the chef and was AMAZING! He is a brilliant chef and you can tell he enjoys his work. The staff are ALL great! The food is AMAZING. Great ingredients with great instructions from Franco and Paula (excellent chef too!) I may do it again.

From the first glimpse of the villa to our final dinner we could not have had a greater experience. Chef Franco and Paola were amazing. The cooking classes were fun and educational. The villa is absolutely stunning especially with all the fall colours. We felt at home and comfortable in our living space and bedrooms. The truffle hunting was so interesting and the excursion day was wonderful. We also enjoyed getting to know the other guests and loved that it was such a small group. The only down side was that we only booked a 3 day experience. Next time (and there will be a next time) we will have to go for the 5 day experience.

Torre del Tartufo grounds are beautiful and is located in a very remote area. You feel like you have your own slice of the world to yourself. It is peaceful and beautiful. The sunsets are amazing. That is all a bonus to the real reason most people go there. When we arrived, we were greeted by Lena. She welcomes you as if you were family and gets you settled in your room. Then she explains the grounds and the agenda for the week. She was so helpful and thoughtful throughout the week. When you get to the cooking part of the stay, you meet Franco and Paola. Franco is the head chef and Paola is his assistant who makes the experience fun as well as educational. They are excellent chefs and even better people. We learned so much about food and cooking techniques while having fun doing it. Then you get to eat the meals you make and it is delicious. You do all this with a number of other people as a group, working and eating side by side. The group bonds and you find yourself making friends. I can go on and on about this vacation but I'll sum it up by saying it is a must on your list of destinations and I plan on doing it again someday soon. You won't be disappointed.

Torre del Tartufo was one of the best vacations of my life. I had the opportunity to learn Italian cooking with Franco and Paula as well as spend relaxing time at the villa with beautiful scenery. The classes and entire stay was well organized yet there was plenty of free time to explore the area. The food was delicious! An added bonus was that our team of "chefs" got to know one another and we have bonded as a group. I highly recommend this experience and if this is our your bucket list of vacations, I encourage you to go to Torre del Tartufo!

How do you put into words the wonderful time we had? My girlfriend and I headed to Torre del Tartuffo to celebrate our 60th birthdays. Little did we know, we would experience such a magical trip. The villa is breathtaking, the rooms clean and comfortable. Lena made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. We then met Chef Franco and his team! He is a wonderful teacher and has the patience of a saint. I don’t know how he does it! And always a smile on his face! Under his supervision we learned many new techniques and cooked absolutely delicious food. He and his staff were there helping to educate, measure, and clean up right behind us. I swear he has eyes in the back of his head! We felt so spoiled, as we were treated to delicious lunches, afternoon appertifs and wonderful 5 course dinners. We learned anytime is wine time in Italy. 😍. But after dinner is liqueur time! We knew we would have fun, but we didn’t know that we would be so welcomed, and meet new friends that feel like family. Our group is already talking about a five year reunion and we want to go back with the husbands too! This experience has truly inspired me. I will wear my apron proudly and always remember the skills learned, and the memories made with love. God willing, we will be back Torre del Tartuffo. ❤️

I can’t even begin to explain the beauty of this villa and the wonderful experience my mom and I had. The rooms were fantastic, the views were spectacular, and the food was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Chef Franco is amazing, accommodating, and a wonderful person. And the staff is so friendly! Lena made the trip seamless and Paola was so terrific. Anybody would be lucky to come and stay here. Highly recommend this lovely place and we hope to come back for years to come!

Have just returned from one of my best experiences ever. The trip has been a wonderful experience from start to finish, could not have asked for a more perfect setting. Perched on the top of a Tuscan hill is the beautiful home, I call it a home , as from the time we arrived the staff made it feel as such. I went with two of my friends for a girls week away and as we all like to cook this week at Torre del Tartufo sounded just what we were looking for. It did not disappoint from Franco our tutor for the week and all his staff ( whom I think of as friends) we had an amazing time. Cannot thank everyone enough and would recommend this experience for anyone.

I attended the 3-day program at Torre del Tartufo in mid-June 2019 along with four couples from various parts of the U.S. (I was the only solo in the group.) Struck gold with the other participants who were all great fun. We shared great food and a lot of laughs together and departed with new friendships. Torre del Tartufo and the staff (chef Franco, his wife Paola, villa manager Lena and everyone there) are fantastic. The villa itself is something straight out of a movie set, surrounded by rolling Tuscan hills that are home to farms, vineyards and miles of hiking trails. (Picture "Under the Tuscan Sun.") For our cooking lessons, we divided into teams and were responsible for various aspects of our truly 5-star dining experiences each evening. Making pasta and gnocchi from scratch was a snap under Chef Franco's tutelage! Sauces with fresh vegetables and squash blossoms; "deconstructed" tiramisu; pizza cooked in a real fire-roasting oven and choice of toppings galore; and of course Italian wines and after-dinner liqueurs...All accompanied with good-natured people in a professional kitchen. Best time ever in a kitchen! The day-long excursion was delightful and afforded one-on-one interaction with some of the area's finest manufacturers of Tuscan products. Words can't do this place justice. If you're at all interested in experiencing one of Italy's cradles of cuisine, just go. You'll have a ball!

I don't know what I can add that hasn't already been said! I did the 3-day cooking class with Chef Franco in May. My husband came as well but did not participate in the classes. We both had the most wonderful time!! Franco was so knowledgable, patient, and encouraging! We learned alot, made new friends, enjoyed outstanding food and endless drinks, and the room was lovely (we stayed in the Basilico suite). We had so much fun and my husband enjoyed hiking and relaxing by the pool while we had our class, and then was welcome to join us for all of the meals and any of the time we spent outside of the class itself. This was such a unique and fun part of our time in Italy, I'd strongly encourage anyone who remotely enjoys cooking (or eating) (or drinking) (or having fun) to go! It was a bit pricey but when you consider the food, drink, accomodations, and excursions, which were all included, it was not unreasonable. And it's something you will remember for a very long time.
