The Hotel is 10 minutes from Labuan Bajo Airport. And only 50 meters from harbor. The hotel is still growing, there are 2 building, old and new. The room in the new building was so nice typically like hotel in Bali and with big bathroom. No television here. The breakfast, do not expect to much, there are bread and jam, cereal and fruits. But in the afternoon (after 6pm) there are fish market at harbor. Since most of tourist come to Labuan Bajo for boat trip to komodo island and surrounding, this hotel was good for stay while waiting the schedule to sail.
Would have rated it 3 out of 5 if it was half the price as it was spotlessly clean and a good location however it was very basic, no pool and still under construction. Our toilet flush was broken and didnt work, shower wasnt good and the soap dispenser didnt work. It felt like it was aimed towards larger groups, our room had an adjoining door to the room next door which meant we could hear a lot of noise from neighbours. Had a really nice view from the roof and beautiful plants, lots of potential once its finished and then would be happy to pay this price. Also the breakfast was not good quality and basic compared to what we had at cheaper hotels.
Stayed in Komodo Lodge on the first and last night in Labuan Bajo. It is located slightly further from the town centre (about 8 to 10 minutes walking only), hence away from busyness of the town. Simple and clean accommodation which suits the need of short stay. Part of the property is currently under construction during the day. Had no issue sleeping at night as the construction work stopped. Value for the money.
Good value for money. Hotel is clearly a little old and the tap was a bit loose / broken, but it worked. The hotel is convenient if you are staying in Labuan Bajo just for a short time and then heading out to islands or back to another main hub in Indonesia. The hotel provides some soap / shampoo out of dispensers and small bar soaps, as well as towels. The bedding is a bit old and worn, with some holes. Good air con system and they usually include a breakfast. I didn’t have much time, but the breakfast included one juice (orange squash) and some other tea / coffee and food. You have to walk to the top 4th floor for the breakfast. Rooms are generally accessed from the outside / open. Walls were a little thin so I could hear my neighbours kids playing / crying. Because of how small the island is, the hotel is a 5 minute drive to the airport. Unfortunately this short distance will cost you around 60000 IDR if you book via the hotel, but likely you will not find anything cheaper as standard prices are 50,000 or 60,000. If you have time and not much luggage you can probably walk to the airport - but sweat a lot! Restaurants and currency exchange houses down the main road - few minutes of walking.…
On the plus side, this place does airport pickup, has a free breakfast that is ok, is spotlessly clean, and has aircon and WiFi that mostly work. There is free water and coffee available all day. It is a 5 minute walk from the Main Street. It’s hard to identify what’s worst about it though. The beds are insanely uncomfortable. The windows are massive with no black out curtains, so if you overlook the courtyard or street, it is light all the time. There are mosquitoes everywhere and no nets or coils- we were covered in bites. There is no soundproofing and it is located near a mosque and on a busy street, and they keep caged birds, so be prepared for a lot of noise from about 4am. It is relatively expensive for the area, so it does feel a bit of a ripoff when you can’t get a proper night’s sleep. …
