We visited in August '22 and had the best time. Rafi helped us throughout our stay and made everything happen. The food, multiple Beach dinners, we're fantastic! The beach bbq had everything you could think of and dinner for 2 was probably enough for 4! The activity staff helped me try everything: stand up paddle boarding, kayaking around the nearby islands, and snorkeling. We stayed in the room on the beach with the private pool and couldn't recommend it enough! Hands down the best part of our three week trip through Indo.

My wife and I have stayed here 3 times in the last 2 years. It gets more amazing every time we stay here. This recent trip was very special because we were finally able to bring my wife's sister to see the beauty of Flores and the amazing customer service of Plataran Komodo. If you come to Flores, the only place to stay is at Plataran Komodo so that you can get the experience of traditional Indonesian architecture that still has modern amenities, wonderful traditional Indonesian food (especially the seafood) and also some western choices too, and fabulous customer service. This is definitely the type of place where you come as a guest and leave as family. Fatih in reservations has always been wonderful and so accommodating when helping to make reservations. Eggi in Xanadu will always be one of my favorite people in the world with his friendliness and wonderful smile. Yulin, Dave, and Ricky at Xanadu are so amazing too and always took care of us. Fani and Yoan took the best care of us and helped prepare an amazing seafood feast at Atlantis on the Beach. Jordy was an amazing driver for us that safely took us around Flores to see some of the things that we had not seen before. Jeremy, our butler, was so amazing at helping us schedule everything that we wanted to do. No matter what time I texted him, he always texted back very quickly. I know there are people that I am forgetting to mention, and I am sorry for that because every single person at Plataran Komodo is amazing. I have long said that a hotel, even the most beautiful hotel, is nothing but walls and a roof...there is no life in the hotel. What brings life to a hotel is the employees. Plataran Komodo has an abundance of life because of all the wonderful employees that are willing to do everything they can to make your stay wonderful. Thank you to everyone at Plataran Komodo. We had an absolutely amazing time at the Komodo Plataran. It was a very relaxed beach holiday place with small bungalows directly on a sandy beach a few dozen meters from the sea. My kids had a great time snorkeling directly off the beach and hotel pier. There were lots of fish and even starfish to be seen. The staff of the hotel were very friendly and went out of their way to make you have a great trip. By day 2 or three they already knew what you wanted for drinks at breakfast and your names. The hotel food was good but if you get bored with the menu the Ayana hotel is a few minutes down the road with several restaurants to choose from. Although the Ayana has killer views and a very slick, modern luxury feel, we were exceptionally glad to have chosen Plataran over Auana for our stay. The rooms at Plataran were huge in comparison to Ayana and the Plataran had a relaxed beach charm which simply didn’t exist at Ayana. Ayana had a very small, not very sandy beach which gave water access, but it really didn’t look very inviting for snorkeling or for kids wanting to build sand castles, etc. …

The resort is true and authentic - real Indonesian lifestyle on western high class standard - a treasure to keep and protect as it is. Fantastic staff in all areas and the butler Nico made a great job taking care of all needs and wishes - the massage out on the patio at the beach was 90 min tremendous - the villa - all there what you expect and authentic - huge indoor and outdoor bathroom - both restaurants are serving delicous and varieties of food from all over the world - all in all 10 out of 10

Such a positive experience overall! On arrival, my husband & I felt special, valued. We were immediately assigned a personal butler, Sakti, to care for all aspects of our stay from the outset. Every consideration was professionally handled, all our needs met, from ensuring our villa’s setup was to our liking, our major excursion’s arrangements to cover every detail given the utmost attention and satisfaction on a day to day basis maximized. Chosen for its proximity to the Komodo Dragon National Park, equally its 5 star luxury rating in a relatively unspoilt tropical environment proved perfectly idyllic - An informed comparison, considering we have all but travelled to & in every country of the world! This place offers superb experience for those who want a quiet couple experience (you dont rent a room but a house) or enjoy activities in the region (everything a hand away from your porch, via private buttler). When arrived, we were greeded by the facility General Manager and received extra attention though whole stay by Fahmi - Assistant Manger. Overally, I cannot imagine our expericnce in the resort couldn't be better. All houses are super new, clean, spacious (you can hear echo in the bathroom), with multiple sections, sleeping, laptoping, dining, relax, closet,porch... omg... (we took a special video of it). Private beach, private ship cruises (on a beautiful classic ship), private dining, few restaurants, seethrough kayak, bikes ect... during the day. The staff attitude, epecially Fahmi, was superb. If you've read this review and met him, plz say Hi from me and chat with him a little bit. Rly worth experiencing Indonesian hospitality. Even more admirable than the resort itself. Without a doubt a place to be reccomended for ppl, that look for v interesting and private vacation. Should you aim for a big drinking party it's not this one. Don't spoil the beauty of this place.…

Without a doubt, our best 5 star hotel experience! We've stayed in various 5 star hotels across APAC, US and Europe and this is our best one by far. I won't describe the great room amenities etc as it can be found in any other 5 star hotels. What makes this resort stands out from than any other 5 star resorts are as follows: 1. Personalized experience We were assigned with a butler, named Jeremy H and he pinged us a few days before the trip to ask for our flight details for pick up. Our flight was delayed and he kept track on it from the ground and was there we landed. Furthermore, he also kindly assisted us with our various asks/needs - from getting a tour to rental car + driver to small things like getting motion sickness meds. 2. Unbelievable attentive and warm crew Most of the staff greets our daughter by name at every breakfast, walk, and dinner. We arrived at around 10 and we didn't think of breakfast since we thought that we missed it but one of the crews, knocked on our door briefly after we arrived to ask if we'd like breakfast since it's still available for next few minutes. [PS: breakfast is included in the price already] When our 4 yrs old daughter almost fell off her chair, 2 people ran to try catch her and they did. I asked one time about the beach condition (it was a little messy when we arrived due to heavy rain for few days prior), then the next day, someone kindly asked me if I had a chance to enjoy the beach since the beach outside our villa is now clean and has chairs now [who'd remember that I asked in passing once? Let alone remembering where we stayed] From front office to restaurant staff - they are all amazing! One of the front office staff, Samsul, seeing how my daughter was looking for shells, got a few hermit crabs to show to my daughter (which we released afterwards =D ) 3. The little details... The hotel provides (price included) afternoon tea and Jeremy kindly pinged us on the first day to remind us of it. Then there's also the early evening mosquito repellent service... At the end of the day, the question I always asked myself is - will we come back given the chance? the answer is a resounding 100% YES! <In fact, we tried to extend a few days but alas they're fully booked ... >…

INCREDIBLE HONEYMOON experience with the team at Plataran. We had Devin as a butler who was incredibly attentive and professional, a bright future ahead of him in hospitality for sure! We had a great time snorkelling in the resort area with Wilost followed by the perfect sunset afternoon tea. We stayed in room 101 which had a private pool and had most the hotel property to ourself and felt like we had the Presidential experience!
