Friendly staff. Nice view overlooking the coast. Just a little rat issue, which should be OK as long as you don't keep food in your room. Then... I really was looking forward to a pancake AND a waffle, and was served just the former without the latter! I like my sweet stuff... and needed a break from spicy foods.
Helpful front desk and great position overlooking the bay. Good air con and wifi and comfortable bed. Breakfast tasty but one can only choose 2 items which seems stingy and unnecessary. Shuttle from the airport is free. Communications from the hotel was excellent. Richard and Rhianee good on front desk as were all staff. I suggest more regular shuttles into town. Recommended.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Cecile. We both thought the sunset view was the best around, and those sunsets did not disappoint. We got the garden view room. Was perfect for us since we were never there and it's 25 feet to the terrace when we got back from our adventuring. Noise was not an issue at all. If you take a Hollywood shower the hot water may need to be regenerated, so just be mindful. You're in a relatively remote area that's still growing. Most places will be like that. Best part was the customer service. I tip my proverbial cap to Yon for setting us up with many of the things we wanted to do as well as his recommendations and input. It really helped make the trip and we felt safe and well cared for throughout. Mahalo my friend! Tiba teing!
Checked in at 3:30 pm our room had no towels, toilet paper or pillow cases - was really put off by the lack of pillow case covers on the yellow stained pillows. So disappointing by this after being on a boat for 4 days, nothing excited me more than a proper shower. Called reception was told they were in the Laundry still. It’s now 10 pm - still have no pillow cases or towels....but there is music blasting loudly outside our room. Great new add on. Besides the poor laundry management and lack of urgency to fully kit out a room - La Cecile is a great location to take in the views of the day and watch the sunset. Beers were cold and Nasi Goreng hit the spot. Would suggest to come for a drink and soak in the view but not to stay.
We stayed at La Cecile for 4 nights over the high Christmas season so had to change rooms during the stay due to capacity issues - first 2 at the Seaview Rooms, and the next 2 at the Deluxe Seaview Rooms. We were supposed to stay at least another night at the Regular Twin Rooms (with no views) but moved out to another hotel after looking at the room. The Deluxe Seaview Rooms cost a bit more, but were great value for money. Looks much newer, nicely decorated, well-ventilated because of the balcony, and has a glass screen in the bathroom between the toilet and shower. The Regular Seaview Rooms were decent. Not as nicely done as the Deluxe but good enough. Only major downside was that there was no glass screen in the bathroom like the Deluxe, so whole bathroom gets wet after a shower. The Regular Twin Rooms has no windows, so was a bit claustrophobic and smells musky. We decided not to stay there. Food was decent. Other than breakfasts, we only had one dinner there as there are much better options in town. There are 2 regular transfers per day between the hotel and town. At any other time, you can call the hotel for a car at Rp50k, pretty much the same price as a taxi.…
