Just utter perfection. Everything. Tranquil, peaceful, amazing. Stunning interior makes you feel so at home and relaxed. Fresh bread if you want it in the morning made by the owner (its also perfection). Fresh pears on the table. So clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back!

Thank you so much! You came at the right time! In April our pears are tree ripened, plentiful and sweet. At other times of the year we can offer pear juice and jams. The jams are great on the fresh bread that you mentioned... ;) Thanks again for your great review! We hope to see you again soon!

We stayed here 3 nights and absolutely LOVED it. It is a beautiful property in a quiet, peaceful location. At the same time, it is near to good local dining and Abel Tasman activities. Our hosts, Timo and Olivia, were friendly, interesting, and accommodating and had quite helpful suggestions for local activities and attractions. Special guest star attraction Ileana was...

This was a good stay even though it wa only a overnighter. A good stay as it away from the busyness of the city, new, clean and designed and built by the owner which makes it unique. Loved the pears in the bowl in the kitcen. Timo was helpful and friendly.

Stayed for two nights on our way to go tramping in the Nelson Lakes. It's a stylish place to stay - really clean, and the owners can supply beautiful home made produce. Despite the secluded location The Pear Orchard is really well located for activities in the Nelson area – I'll definitely stay again when I'm back in the Nelson...

We are a tour company from Te awamutu and came down to look for more places to stay including local farm stays for our future clients and found this awesome hideaway. Timo has done such a great job of building and maintaining the lodge and area around it just and really cool place to stay. Timo and his team are...

So nice to get such great feedback from a tour company! Just to clarify: we don't cater to big tour bus groups, but we look forward to hosting your small bespoke guided tours. We look forward to seeing you again!

Very quiet getaway so refreshing from all those noisy motels on main street. And the best place if you enjoy meeting fellow travellers as the kitchen is communal and very good equipped. Must do is the organic breakfast with freshly baked bread( one whole loaf) and homemade jams..and decent coffee! Rooms are spacious and the shared large bathroom shouldn't put...

Thanks for pointing out the difference between our offering and that of a standard motel. We like to offer something different, where guests actually have an opportunity to meet each other and enjoy great shared facilities. We look forward to seeing you again in the future!

The Pear Lodge came highly recommended. It proved to be beyond all our expectations. The host greeted us with a friendly smile and proudly showed us around his lovely property and lodge he designed and built himself. It is beautifully appointed with high ceilings and tasteful décor. The rooms were spacious and the beds very comfy. The kitchen is a...

A lovely well kept farm stay located at the beautiful foothills of Richmond/Hope. It was perfect for us visiting family in Wakefield and Nelson. The hosts are lovely and very accommodating, absolutely wanting the best for your stay. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere which made for a great place to relax between crazy visits to family events within the region....

It is in easy walking/biking distance of wineries and Nelson by car. What a wonderful summary! Thanks guys! I can report: both baths are back in action now! We do restrict the bath usage when we are fully booked or if it has not rained for a long time - typically in February/early March. Come back soon!

We stayed here about 2 weeks ago and compared to some of the less modernised accommodations, particularly on the west coast, this was a breath of fresh air. We had the room ensuite, which was new, clean and lovely decorated. Wonderful big kitchen topped with bread etc. that could be freshly ordered for breakfast. Olivia and Timo did a great...
