If you want to run away from mass tourism, hassle and stress, this is the right place to spend some days. Located in a middle of a banana plantation in Alcala there is this comfy, countryside, atractive and quiet hotel; and nothing more healthy than have a proper rest having the sounds of nature around you. First and very important is to send a big thank You to Alberto, Giselle and all his lovely team who were fully dedicated and passionate with their work. Tenerife's lovely summer weather was the perfect companion for breakfast time in a terrace, everyday offered with diverse fruits from the farm, coffee or tea and so much more for your choice. The first night dinner was an astonishing Spanish Paella, I was always excited for this moment to come every evening. They served red or white wine produced in the farm. Desserts were all home made and finish the night with a tea or coffee while hearing the birds in the big tree. The private terraces in each room is something remarkable, from there I could admire beautiful sunsets everyday and take the sun in the provided sunbed. Staying in contact with all these natural, countryside elements was memorable and can evoque your best chilhood moments, so I definitely recommend to come and enjoy of real holidays.

This wonderful, local accommodation is located in the middle of a banana plantation, away from the crowds. 12 rooms, adults only... that promises peace and relaxation and this promise is fully fulfilled. The sufficiently large rooms have a terrace with a sea view and seating and loungers. Small suggestion for improvement: in the afternoon the sun beats down on the terrace... a small parasol would be helpful here. Unfortunately the awning no longer protects against the sun in the afternoon. The pool is a wonderful place to cool off. The breakfast is a bit modest. We would have liked a bit more choice or variety here. The evening meal was great. Every evening there was a 3-course menu for €20 including a drink. The food was typical for the country, simple but fresh and tasty. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. Overall the complex was very harmonious and we felt very comfortable. ... and the location is also ideal as a starting point for excursions in the surrounding area (provided you have a rental car). Clearly recommended!

I have stayed here four times now, the staff, food and room are all wonderful. Each room has a huge private terrace overlooking the banana plantation, the Atlantic and there is a view of La Gomera. A special extra is the flock of hairy sheep

Wonderful, setting amidst the banana trees, lovely pool unheated but great for a pre breakfast swim, or reading on a lounger. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice, surprised when what I thought was a sausage turned out to be delicious sweet fried banana!! Dinner is interesting, at breakfast you see the dinner menu for that day, choice of 2 starters, 2 mains, desert of the day, a glass of wine or a large beer, tea or coffee for €20. you choose time to eat, between 7-8.30. We had dinner twice, a delicious rabbit dish with Canadian potatoes, and tuna followed by a wonderful tiramisu (I'd love the recipe if anyone from the hotel sees this!!) Great helpful staff. The walk to the beach through the banana plantation was wonderful, the beach and bathing pools were amazing, the very best crashing waves.

Stayed here for 3 nights as part of a longer holiday in Tenerife. It was an excellent choice as we were looking for somewhere away from the heavily over-developed parts of Tenerife ( and there are a lot of them !). Good sized room and bathroom, with private terrace. Pool was good also. Walked down to the coast and along to the nearby towns each day - no beaches to mention. Lovely position in the bananna plantation. Three course evening meal ( no choice except vegetarion or non-vegetarian for each course) was excellently produced home cooking and very good value at €40 per couple including a bottle of local wine and coffee. This is no 5 star or 4 star resort but a low key well run friendly hotel off the beaten track but still in the popular holiday area. If I went to Tenerife again I would definitely consider this hotel again.

We stayed here for the third time and enjoyed every minute of it. The sunset view towards La Gomera from the terrace is a ritual every day. The staff - family and receptionist Giselle- are wonderful nice people. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. The whole ground of the hotel is in the midst of banana plantations of the finca (Alberto, one of the owners can give very interesting information on banana growing) and you can eat as many of the lovely sweet tangy Canarian bananas as you like. Breakfast is Canarian style with fresh produce from the finca, abundant and good. Same for the dinner which is cooked if ordered in the morning. The swimming pool is exquisite and we had many beautiful star gazing hours on the rooftop terrace . A place to return to again!

Super quiet hotel in the middle of a banana plantation. Get there before sunset because access is not easy but it is quite well signposted.
Gisèle is adorable at reception. All the staff are smiling and kind and there to help you.
The rooms are clean, each with its own terrace, pool towels provided, and a good size swimming pool.
Top breakfast that changes every morning, fresh fruit, pancake, churros, grilled vegetables, cheese... we have everything you need.
Dinner possible by reservation with different menu every day. Starter, main course, dessert, drink and coffee, it's interesting if you don't want to take the car. The tortilla was delicious!
Adult only appreciable for the calm of the place
Well placed for traveling west or south

In this touristy part of Tenerife, this small-scale hotel is an oasis, so to speak. Looking for space and peace, look no further. Tourist crowds and entertainment are not so far that you cannot go there on foot, but at El Navio personal contact and tranquility come first. Not super luxurious, but everything needed for a pleasant stay is available, even if necessary, management that, contrary to what I found on the site, also speaks English. In addition, where can you find a dinner including a drink, wine from our own vineyard, for €20. No culinary delights, but fine.

Wonderful hotel - extremely peaceful, in the middle of the banana plantation, rooms have great view out to sea from spacious terraces. Delicious home cooked food, pleasant pool area. No air conditioning, so rooms can get a little hot, but just need to make sure you open windows long enough to get some through draft, as there is usually a sea breeze.

Small-scale hotel in a quiet location. Located in the middle of a banana plantation. The coast is within walking distance. There is a beautiful walking path along the coast. In the evening you can, if you wish, have dinner for a small price (20 Euro). Swimming pool is not heated. You get as many bananas as you want.
