We highly enjoyed our stay. The accomodation is located near Abel Tasman National Park, perfect for day trips. There is a washing machine and dryer available at the reception. Highlight is the whirlpool with beautiful view down the hill onto the bay. The chalets were clean when we visited the accomodation. Very small minus: For pairs with two big luggage bags, it requires a bit creativity, but nothing major. However, we also want to say many thanks to the friendly hosts that provided uncomplicated help with forgotten personal items.

This was the most expensive accommodation we had on our two week holiday in the Tasman area and it was by far the worst accommodation of the trip. We were in the Large One Bedroom Chalet and it is tired and dated, but it was clean. We found the bathroom, a very small en suite off the bedroom meant the third person had to go though our room to use the bathroom. This was awkward at times. We now know why there are no photos of this unit on the website The grounds were very untidy and looked uncared for. The pool was lovely but only old and broken chairs to sit on.

The chalets are well situated with a beautiful view of the ocean and Nelson. The kitchenette is helpful. We found the bedroom space quite crammed, however these are Lockwood chalets so can’t penalise for something that would be difficult to renovate. We felt the chalet would have greatly benefited from an air-con unit as a fan doesn’t achieve much when it’s a humid hot night.

We booked well in advance for these popular chalets set in the bush up a hill and a couple of kms from downtown Mapua. When we booked there were only two of us and this would have been perfect. We had a third family member with us so the pull out bed in the lounge area was used but this was not a problem. The chalet is well equipped and we particularly loved having our own deck with private BBQ, table and chairs. The bird life was fantastic with a visiting tui every day. We were only a few steps from the spa and beautiful swimming pool with glorious view overlooking Nelson. There was also a laundry on site. Wouldn't hesitate to book this again. Well done Andy.

The Chalets are located in the heart of Mapua Village, very close to restaurants and cafes and perfectly positioned for exploring the region. It takes 25-30 minutes to drive to Nelson and Motueka/Kaiteriteri. The cabins are rustic but cozy. Showers are hot and water pressure is perfect. The kitchenette has a full gas range with 4 burners. We met our host Andy and were really impressed by how sweet and friendly he was. A very nice guy! We truly enjoyed our stay there.
