Home Sweat Home Mark II, just like been at home, friendly, warm, excellent breakfast, lovely clean and comfy bedroom and most importantly- homely. Also ideally situated near to Mrs Millers where we ate for our evening dinner on the Friday and Saturday.

Stayed here at very short notice on a very cold Cumbrian night, while visiting family in the area. Was welcomed very warmly and shown to a beautiful warm room. Bed was supremely comfortable, shower was fantastic. The breakfast was enormous (and I'm a big bloke!) Wonderful fresh fruit and cereal followed by sausages, bacon, eggs, beans, tomato, potatoes, fried bread,...

Absolutely superb BB with all the attention and and facilities anyone could ever want. As we set off for a snowy walk to summit Skiddaw we were presented with a hamper containing freshly baked scones and a flash of hot chocolate. Just what was needed after a brisk day on the winter fells.

Stayed at Laurel house overnight for a surprise break away for my Mum's birthday. The B&B was lovely! Nice friendly welcome as we walked up to the house, lovely fresh coffee on arrival and a surprise bottle of prosecco for my Mum. Jeff and Alex were great hosts with good recommendations of where to get a bite to eat on...

Another lovely weekend with Jeff & Alex this really is a 5 star b & b. Our 3rd visit. Very comfortable & superb breakfast. Where else would you find a hot water bottle in the bed on returning from a meal out. Hope to be back next year

Alex and Geoff made us very welcome at this exclusive hideaway in Culgaith Nr. Penrith. We were treated to excellent hospitality and tasty breakfasts with lots of choice. Laurel House is well placed to explore the North lakes and enjoy seeing spectacular sights like Aira Force near Glen Ridding, Ulswater. Will certainly keep it in mind if we are in that area again. A lovely 18th century cottage in a pretty village only a few miles from Penrith. It was full of character and has been renovated inside still keeping lots of original features in place.

An excellent country location, good evening meals available in village. Close proximity to many tourist attractions. Alex and Jeff take care of all your needs, and we have never been served such a breakfast ever.
