Ettington Park Hotel, the only AA 4 Red Star hotel in Stratford-Upon-Avon, is set in 40 acres of parkland in a verdant valley with the River Stour meandering through it. Situated just six miles from the centre of the famed home of Shakespeare and just a few miles from the start of The Cotswold Way, this spectacular property is a world apart from the hustle and bustle of contemporary life. Built from six types of Cotswold stone, Ettington Park is furnished with fine paintings and decorated with friezes that trace its centuries of tradition and heritage. This is a country house where historic extravagance meets contemporary comfort.

We stayed for 1 night on a Sunday. Check in was probably one of the friendliest and easiest I’ve ever experienced. The rooms were great, good bathroom, robes, towels and in toiletries. We had a pre-dinner drink in the bar, staff were great and very friendly. Dinner was amazing,

Children? Yes of course. With advance notice they can perhaps set aside a Dining room for you? But check first. And..are there kids times for the Pool? A garden room would be nice..doors onto the garden.

"Rooms in the extension are quieter, we were moved there from the main old building as we were disturbed by noise from the room above."
