Stayed here for a night on way to Cape Reinga. What a find. Hotel owners were supper nice and helped out when my bike wouldn't start the next day. Handy little bar across the road. The showers were the cleanest I have ever seen. How did they do that...

Very impressed with my stay. The 1 bedroom unit was large, spacious and spotless - great wifi and an excellent host who informed us straight away of the winter hours in the nearby shops and cafes so we were not disappointed and could grab a bite to eat. I did find the room a little cold - I expect that perhaps I got the one night in the winterless north where a heat pump was needed over a fan heater :-( I’d happily stay again and even though I was on business travel I’d highly recommend the one bedroom unit for families

Our 2nd stay at this comfortable hotel was as amenable as our 1st in 2013. Host provided detailed summary of sites to see in surrounding area, as well as necessary closing times for restaurant and grocery so we could plan our trip to Cape Reinga. Room was spotless and full kitchen was ready to accommodate our needs. Free wifi service had more than sufficient bandwidth for our Internet needs. A true spot of luxury in the spartan Far North.

We love this place. Although it backs onto the Main Rd and gets a very little traffic noise, the outlook over the harbour from the other side is wonderful - a great place to sit and have a drink and take in the view and sunset. Older units but scrupulously clean. Great helpful staff. Will definitely return again (this was not the first time we have been here)

I really liked it here, we stayed for two nights and were totally comfortable and it had everything we needed. The property was well kept with the owner out the whole time doing yard work and cleaning the pool. Facilities are good with a large freezer you can use for ice / fish bait. There is a coin operated laundry and outdoor BBQ and seating looking over the harbour. Units are clean and tidy with everything you need, nothing flash but comfortable. There is a decent shop across the road for all your food needs along with a restaurant / bar with decent meals. I would recommend this place and look forward to visiting again
