We spent four nights at Netherton B&B this September, on a 3 week visit to the Black Isle . Netherton came highly recommended by my brother who stayed there several years back with his family. We had never been to the northern part of the Black Isle, and very much enjoyed the Culbokie area. The B&B is rustic and located...

There will be flaws for some but whatever they are we could not see them as we were blinded by the charm of Romy and her friends, animals and beautiful home. Our rooms have been spacious, clean and comfortable, the welcome warm and breakfast delicious. The views are spectacular and the wildlife activity vied with that of Ria and "the...

It is a farm with a feral pig running around the garden. Very welcoming and extremely organised - even though it all appears rather ramshackle at first. Good en suite family room and a splendid breakfast with large choice across the range from fruit, croissants, to any version of full Scottish that you could want. Great pub with food up...

We stayed at a room to the front of the B&B and the views are certainly breath taking as the photo attached shows. We agree with a previous reviewer that the owner is a little eccentric but very friendly, welcoming and was helpful to make our stay enjoyable. The room was clean and tidy and the breakfast was very good....

We booked this last minute and just disappointed we couldn't stay longer. We were greeted by a pig lying on the door step and a friendly dog. The room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast filled us up for the day. The owners tipped us to visit chalonry point where we saw two dolphins. Highly recommend staying here.

My husband and I (and labrador) are traveling through Scotland and stayed at the Netherton Farm for a night. I searched for a pet friendly accommodation near Inverness. I was naturally drawn to the raving reviews and booked us in. Upon arriving, we were enthusiastically welcomed by Piggy the pet pig and Ria the resident dog. You might be super...

We enjoyed our one night stay at this B&B. As others have mentioned the view is to die for. We have a dog so this was ideal as a working farm there were dogs, chickens and a pig! Our room was comfy and we enjoyed our breakfast. For those who like a little more order and tidiness then this isn't...

If you want great rooms with awesome views, definitely stay here. Breakfast was great. Our host was the best we had on our eleven day tour of Scotland. Highly recommended! You may even get to meet the friendliest pig.

The farm is just down the lane from the Culbolkie Inn and looks out over the Cromarty Forth. A splendid farm house with a friendly pig wondering around. A great welcome and a very comfortable room. Breakfast (with Haggis ) was great and I canot do anything else but thoroughly recommend this place. The inn up the road deserves a...

Netherton farm provides a friendly and unique stay. The dog gave us a wonderful welcome as did the pet pig. The outlook from the terrace of the farm house is a breathtaking view of the Cromarty Firth. It has a very relaxed atmosphere and Romay could not do enough to help us. We loved our evening here and would definitely...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Netherton Farm B&B is situated in a fantastic location overlooking the Cromarty Firth on the North side of the rural Black Isle peninsula. We have five rooms, some with en-suite bathrooms, all available at competitive rates. Netherton is set within a working farm with free-range produce - we'll set you up for the day with a hearty farmhouse breakfast. Ideally placed for exploring the Northern Highlands, Netherton is a comfortable, relaxed B&B and Guest House just off the main A9 road 12 miles north of Inverness. Netherton enjoys outstanding panoramic views to the west, Ben Wyvis and over the Cromarty Firth. The house particularly suits group bookings (for example wedding parties, cyclists or Land's End to John O'Groats travellers), giving you the advantage of privacy in spacious accommodation. We can offer reduced rates for longer lets, for group or corporate bookings, and for repeating regular bookings, particularly during the off-peak months from October to May inclusive. We welcome enquiries from workers and mature students. Netherton Farm is also available as serviced self-catering. Situated near Culbokie, driving time from Netherton Farm to Dingwall or Evanton is around 10 minutes, and 20 minutes to Inverness, Alness or Invergordon. The Culbokie Inn is the closest eatery, within 10 minutes walk of Netherton - booking recommended at weekends and during the summer. The Culbokie Inn is under new management by a local farmer, using and producing local food. Dolphin watching is a popular attraction at Chanonry Point in Fortrose, around 15 minutes' drive away. Black Isle Bicycles are based close by and will deliver rental bikes to the door. Cromarty is a popular visitor destination, with many arts and cultural connections. Udale Bay is an RSPB nature reserve. ... more   less
