The most stunning hotel I may ever have stayed in. The architecture is simply breathtaking and this permeates throughout the decor and fabric of the hotel's essence.
The swimming pool is beautiful, with ornate decorations, fountains and jet pools, creating a sense of tranquility. A few more steps beings you to the beach and beach bar/restaurant with a beautiful stretch of sandy beach.
The staff are super polite and always willing to help.
Special mention to the housekeeping team who recognise trends, like mats at the front and start adding them for you. The room was always spotlessly clean.
We stayed in the "Villa" room which offers serene views of the koi fish ponds directly outside. What a way to wake up and sip a morning coffee!
My only small suggestion would be that the hotel do a better job of advertising their in-house amenities, like the coffee bar, happy hour, beach dining, and the watersports. On that note, I also feel that suggest that the hotel consider making the kayaking and SUP rentals free for their guests. Or at least some free time for guest use, perhaps.
Overall, a perfectly situated hotel on a fabulous stretch of Kai Bae beach. Stunning decor and tranquil vibes with helpful staff made this a truly memorable stay in Koh Chang.

Overall a beautiful complex right on the beach. After many years it is time for a general overhaul, including replacing the beanbags on the beach etc., shower heads in the rooms and maybe also the sun loungers. Time is really taking its toll here. The service is good and friendly. Unfortunately when the sun is shining the beach is cleared by 4pm at the latest and the tables are set up for dinner at 6.30pm. The breakfast is up to standard (juice drinks with 20% fruit instead of fruit juice). If you spend three weeks there it gets monotonous. The evening meal is of good quality and only a little more expensive than in the three local restaurants on the beach. Disadvantage: live music and fire show almost every evening; unfortunately only once a month BBQ buffet for 750 BHT. Why not weekly??? Happy hour cocktails from 12pm... of absolutely good quality. We had a grand villa for 250 euros/night - nice but unfortunately no extras compared to the rooms here for 100 euros/night. The immediate area around the hotel is a disaster. Because of Covid, many traders had to give up...ruins, dirt and junk from the 80s. The shops on White Beach are no more sophisticated either.

We have known the hotel for a few years. It has deteriorated enormously. Breakfast has been reduced. There used to be a lot of homemade baked goods. Today, the buffet only has bought and industrially manufactured items such as mini donuts and waffles.
Even the fried eggs are no longer freshly prepared; you are now supposed to use the already fried, cold eggs. After morning discussions, I got a fresh egg.
There are no more peppers either.
There is hardly any salad selection at the evening BBQ on the beach. There is no longer any dessert (previously: homemade mousse au chocolate, etc.)
Not enough loungers on the beach with ancient cushions.
The massage is good on the beach, but you should be the first to go if you want to lie on a fresh towel.
Towels that have been "treated" you are simply hung up to air and are used again and again the next time. Completely unhygienic!
The cleanliness of the room was so-so and so-so. Depending on whether it was the day of arrival and the rooms had to be completely re-prepared or there was less to do, the cleaning was either superficial or thorough. Once, they forgot to close our door after cleaning, it was only ajar, very annoying! We always liked the style of the hotel and the great location and in the past, they would even notice that it was your birthday and surprise you with a mini cake. Why? - it’s all about the vibe… the people working in the hotel. The architecture.
From the welcoming till the good bye we really felt like being “home away from home”
As a gay couple traveling the world it’s always important to check first if it’s a safe place and if the hotels are okay with LGBTQ: The DEWA is so much welcoming so much acceptance of gay couples, therefore I really recommend to the LGBTQ community to stay at this safe heaven!
We booked the Grand Villa at the beachfront, everything was super clean and nice, everything was beyond our expectations.
The whole team is keeping the Hotel maintained and clean, yes of course there are some issues about the wood sun lounger and wood at the pool area but the maintenance team is always on duty to fight any issue! (Of course it is to mention that the hotel is not newly opened, the tropical weather and the materials used e.g. wood is at some places ready to be replaced but this is what I mentioned, the team is working everyday to ensure that)
Breakfast: with a large variety of food (fruits, juices, egg station, lots of curry’s and Thai food) is very nice! I want to say special “Thank you” to the whole service team of the breakfast, they were so nice, very attentive and always helpful! Real 5 star service!
Our special thanks is also directed to the Hotel Manager Mr. Harry, he is so welcoming and supportive, he is always visible at the Hotel and if there is any special request he is taking care of. We had one special request and he helped us so much. Also the personal care and good bye at our checkout was highly appreciated!
The whole team at the Front Office and especially the FO Manager who was always approachable is another highlight!

I really like the atmosphere here. Suitable for relaxing comfortably. Come stay on a weekday, the room price is ok, not many people, not very chaotic, good atmosphere, clear sky, no rain at all. Very lucky. Breakfast is a buffet style with a variety to choose from. The stairs up to the breakfast room are quite steep and not suitable for the elderly and people with disabilities in wheelchairs. But the employees informed us that if there are elderly or disabled people coming with them, they can serve them in the room. Lunch and dinner restaurants are next to the beach. Sit and eat while enjoying the sea breeze and chilling in a good atmosphere. Otherwise, overall it's OK.

I revisited The Dewa Koh Chang Hotel which was once a decent hotel but now felt like it is being let go.
The hotel is showing its age and the rooms (stayed in 232) are dark and dated. The staff are friendly (especially Amy and Sukanya at the front) and helpful, and the hotel has a large outdoor pool, a spa and beachfront restaurant.
Would have spent more time at the beachfront restaurant if there were cushions for the chairs to make it more comfortable to sit on to enjoy dinner. But there were non said Golf the waiter.
The sun chairs mattresses was dirty with black mold strips and in desperate need of a proper cleaning, also area around the pool and the pool itself too is in need of proper cleaning and maintenance.
I stayed here for 9 days (12-21 July) but felt it was too long, I would recommend staying at The Dewa Koh Chang Hotel for 3-4 days if you are looking for a more affordable option with friendly staff.
The hotel is unfortunately not suitable for handicapped people as there is no elevator’s and stairs to the breakfast restaurant is narrow and steep not acceptable for handicap.

The hotel or the complex was very well maintained, the rooms were a dream and very large! They had enough storage space, the bathroom, toilet and shower were separated from each other. The bed and mattress were very comfortable, we felt super comfortable. The beach was a dream with the palm trees, there were enough sunbeds and the service was also very good! You even got fresh towels 2 times a day, once for the beach and once for the shower. We stayed a week and the breakfast was also very good! The fruits were a dream and the service staff was also incredibly nice just like you are used to in Thailand pretty much everywhere.

One of the resorts on Koh Chang that stands out for its great atmosphere in a Tropical Rustic style with a Balinese style. We consider it to be one of the hottest highlights of all time. Every corner is beautiful for taking photos. There is also a sea of turquoise color with gradients. The beach lacks privacy. It is also shady with trees surrounding the entire resort.
Our room was booked as a Deluxe Room. The interior is simply decorated. The bed is large, soft and comfortable to sleep on. Divided into perfect proportions Complete with a work desk, chill corner, and the bathroom has a tub to soak in.
The swimming pool is in the middle of the large resort with a Day Bed to relax in all day. There is also a pool bar available. As for activities, there are kayaks. Paddle board The beach is very good, white sand, crystal clear water.
