The Aardvark Safari Lodge is an oasis in the middle of the rugged safari. The lodge itself is beautifully built, and very comfortable for dining and gathering. The individual rooms are most beautiful and comfortable with large beds, a spacious bathroom, and an outdoor shower that is none other. The staff is the most kind you will ever meet. Jazzing with them was one of the highlights of this trip. And the food!! I've never experienced such good food and service as I did at the Aardvark Lodge. Can't wait to return. Our guide Wyclef (owner of Gorillas and Beyond Safari) suggested we stay at this lodge as it is situated within the national park. What a find this was! The lodge only opened this year. The main house is enormous, however, still intimate and very romantic to take your meals. Currently, there are 3 cottages – I believe they will build another two. Our cottage was spacious with two double-beds, separate rooms for bathtub and washroom. There is also a huge outdoor shower. The staff go out of their way to make you feel at home; the chef whipped-up a 3 course menu which was one of the best we had in Uganda! The advantage of the lodge being in the national park is that you have animals right in front of your cottage porch. John, the (regular) elephant, visited us and enjoyed his mud bath. This place is highly recommended.

Our stay at the aardvark safari lodge exceeded our expectations in comfort and service of the staff. The lodge was decorated in an african style and the widely spread cottages were at night visited by hippos and other wild animals which could then safely be watched out of the windows. The staff was very cautious about our well being and the chef was spoiling us with very delicious food.
Taking a shower under the stars is now a huge part in our memories about visiting Uganda.

Well what I can I say, we had the most amazing experience that my husband and I will never forget. The accommodation itself is awe inspiring, the outside shower an inspiration, as is the upstairs balcony. The first night we woken by a hippo grazing right outside our lodge. The following morning I was woken at 5.15 by an elephant snoring right outside our room, definitely not an every day occurrence in our normal lives.
The staff well what can I say, we felt like a king and queen, they were so attentive, but what added an extra layer, was that as well as doing that they made us feel like part of their family too, quite a unique experience. They are led by the wonderful manager Landus, who was so keen to ensure that he and the team provided the best experience.
The food, smiling Ronald created was simply delicious and couldn’t be faulted on any front, I even managed two three course meals a day as I couldn’t refuse.
If you are going to Uganda and visiting Queen Elizabeth Park, I think you would struggle to find anywhere that doesn’t add to the experience as Aadvark Lodge and it’s wonderful team do.

Our stay at the Aardvark Lodge exceeded all our expectations. There is a main lodge and outlying cottages for all guests. The cottages are beyond spacious with large bedrooms, bathrooms (the soaker tub was worth it's weight in gold), outdoor shower and sitting areas, along with a front porch. Safety is of prime concern and staff wish to accompany you after dusk when going to and from your cottage. Traveling with our 9 year old grandson, staff welcomed him with open arms. I highly agree with all the comments about the service, congeniality of staff, food and accommodations. Denis and his staff were very attentive and the chef, superb. One night a local orphanage arrived for dancing and singing, which was an added highlight. We stayed 2 nights, traveling to Queen Eliz Park for some game drives and river cruise, but we could have easily stayed longer-being lulled to sleep by the snorting of hippos and waking up to our morning elephant siting. Amazing place.

Cannot recommend this place enough. The staff are incredible, friendly, attentive to every need and going the extra mile to make your stay special. The food is exceptional. The gardens surrounding the bungalows attract all manners of animals at night and it turns into a night safari. We stayed two nights in this lodge near the entrance to Queen Elisabeth park. The lodge is very intimate and currently has very few rooms but is in the process of being expanded. The structure is composed of a central body and very large style bongalows, the rooms are enormous with bathtub and particular external shower; the central part is also well furnished, with attention to the table setting. All the staff are very attentive to the customer and the chef has excellent cuisine: the best of the whole trip. At night both a hippopotamus and an elephant came to visit us in front of the room but there are no safety problems, in case you have to leave the room during the dark period you are accompanied by the staff. The lodge is classified as luxury level. We asked for a fan and they brought it to us, I would suggest installing it in all rooms. I recommend it to those looking for comfort and excellent service at Queen Elisabeth Park.

I simply loved this lodge! The bengalows are magnificent, with an outdoor shower which allows us to cool off while observing the stars! The staff is a real team, they are very, very attentive, taking care of us as if they were only waiting for us. Their dedicated chef prepared excellent dishes for us. At night the animals wander around the lodges. Don't worry, no one came in to say good night.

The lodges are beautiful and incredibly spacious, and as they are situated within the National Park, it is not unusual to have animals passing close by. I found it quite disconcerting on the first night when an elephant was eating right outside my window, but the staff are reassuring and always accompany you to and from your lodge after dark.
The lounge and restaurant area is in a beautiful open plan two storey building with great views, and it is a lovely place to enjoy a drink. The meals were delicious - by far the best food I have had in Uganda.
The staff were all lovely and did everything they could to make my stay a memorable one. Aardvark Lodge is a very special place to stay and I hope to return one day.
