#3 of 23 Specialty lodging in Plaka
Our complex is on the beach of Plaka at a distance of only 50 m. from the sea. This is a recently built complex, comprising 6 independent maisonettes and 3 two-bedroom apartments with sea view. Built in accordance with the standards of classical Cycladic architecture, sober aesthetics and in full harmony with the natural environment, they provide all facilities for a particularly warm hospitality.

We stayed in a top floor 1 bedroom unit in mid October. There is a nice view to the mountains and of the sea from the terrace and from inside the room. Recently built, the room was of modern design and in mint condition, and well cleaned. The bed was comfortable. Yiannis kindly collected us from the port as it was dark when we arrived, and negotiated with the public bus to wait for us the next day. By mid October, all restaurants and shops within walking distance are closed, only a bar was still open. The beach was almost deserted. So if you are looking for complete peace and quiet a stones throw from the beach this a great place.

Ploes is in very convenient location, perfect for family holidays on Naxos island. We could feel this cycladic spirit everywhere, with the beautiful shutters on the windows, the great sunset view from the balcony, all the details in the room. Christos (the owner) was very friendly, we felt immediately like home! Moreover, it was obvious that everything is well taken care of, our room was more than clean!

Perfect seaside houses, right next to the Plaka beach. Generally situated in the very good location for sightseeing and visiting beautiful beaches in the South, as well as traditional villages in the mountains. Spotlessly clean, hospitable hosts, great view, family-friendly. We loved our time in Ploes, hopefully we will visit it again!

Beautiful. Amazing. Views. Kindest Hosts. Balconies. Patios. Terraces. Spotless clean. Daily maid service. Powerful A/C if you like, and so many pretty shuttered windows for fresh island breezes. Big-screen TV. Strong, free wi-fi. Smiles all around. Please read the 40 other super positive reviews. I don't think I've ever seen so many great messages on Trip Advisor. But I think I know why. You can see hosts Christos and brother Yiannis love the work they do and truly enjoy having guests stay at their very new hotel -- three stylish white houses facing the sea with a variety of rooms that can sleep a couple or a family very comfortably. And in great Greek style! Ploes Seaside Houses is just steps away from Plaka Beach, one of the longest and prettiest in all the Greek Islands. Swim, sunbathe, snorkel, windsurf, it's all there for you. And it's very quiet at night so you can hear the waves, and if you look up on a moonless night, like tonight, you will see many bright stars up in the sky. The Naxos KTEL bus runs every half hour to town and back for 2 € from morning until midnight. You can get on the bus right at the hotel next door. There's also a small, friendly supermarket there to buy your bus tickets that sells basic food and drink and some beach toys for kids. REMINDER: You must buy bus tickets before boarding from the KTEL ticket office at the port, or at a taverna, bakery or supermarket nearest your stop. The bus driver has no tickets and no money, so please buy your ticket(s) first. And no free return, one ticket each way. Distant, beautiful, ancient villages cost a bit more -- about 3€ for each one-way ticket. I would recommend a relaxing lunch in Filoti, Chalki or Apiranthos and then some exploring around those towns. There are tons of restaurants near Ploes Seaside Houses you can easily walk to. Try Aronis Taverna, Nikos and Maria's anytime, Mitatos for incredible ice cream and Tortuga for a very fine cocktail. Jan's Salmon Deli was awesome too, if you want to skip Greek for a night. All an easy walk right down the road. Big huge thank you, or efharisto poli to Christos, Yiannis, and Irma for making a three-week stay a holiday my wife and I will always treasure. You will too.

We loved our stay at Ploes and highly recommend. It is modern, clean and tastefully decorated with attention to detail. Safe provided in room. Christos, the owner, is a wonderful host. He helped us arrange our car rental (parking on property) and made suggestions of what to see and where to eat. We were very close to Plaka Beach (a few min walk) and they provide beach towels. Plaka Beach is stunning. You can rent longers, umbrella. There is a grocery store nearby and many places to eat and ATMS. This place is special and we highly recommend.
