Spent the weekend at Bellbrae Harvest to escape the city. We just stumbled on this hidden gem via a booking website and are so glad we did. The cabins are spotless and spacious with great attention to detail throughout (loved the linen, great shower head, coffee plunger, extra blankets etc). So peaceful sitting on the front deck doing crosswords with... More

This venue is inland from Anglesea and is set in a beautiful bushland retreat. We were seated outside in a fine dining setting and overlooking the lake area with geese and chooks scourging around only meters from where we were seated. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was excellent and the wine list was also very good. The... More

Sat outside with friends under the grape vines overlooking the dam complete with lillies and geese on a beautiful Friday afternoon. It doesn't get much better than this. The chefs table at $80 head for 5 courses was excellent. Each dish beautifully presented and explained to the table by the chef David Veal.. Show casing great local wines at very... More

Stayed for two nights, and it was a lovely setting with kangaroos greeting us outside our studio in the morning. It was so dark and quite the first night it was almost difficult to sleep! The bed was comfortable, as was the whole studio - which was simple and suited for a quiet getaway. The welcome sparkling wine and choc... More

We wanted to escape the hubbub of christmas this year and decided to look for a quiet spot, to prop for two nights. We had booked Christmas lunch at RACV Torquay, so wanted something near by. Looking through trip advisor found the Bellbrae Hotel. What a wonderful discovery, set in a lush valley just minutes from Torquay, in a bushland... More

We had decided to stay down the coast last minute and found this place on an accommodation booking site. We booked directly through Deb and Ken who couldn't have been more helpful. They sent us text directions, organised a booking in the onsite restaurant and left the key in the cottage for us. The actual cottage/studio exceeded our expectations, very... More

We had a 4 night stay at the end of April. Late Autumn and it hadn't rained for months but the scenery and bush views were magnificent. As usual I contacted the owners direct for the booking rather than use the third party web sites that add unnecessary expense to the booking cost. Of note is the 'self service' method... More

In the middle of nowhere it would be just the two of you in harness with the unspoilt natural environment. You wake up in the morning with the calm and pleasant view of a small lake, few kangaroos hanging around (there's plenty more in the bush if you want). The accommodation is a lavish two levelled smartly designed unit full... More

We love this restaurant situated in the middle of nowhere behind Bellbrae. Each time we have visited we have been entranced with the blending of flavours, the innovative and enthusiastic approach to food and the enthusiasm of the chef who takes delight in explaining his dishes and how they are created. This restaurant is first class and we would recommend... More
