We stayed for three nights in the Sky Mountain Junior Suite and I honestly have nothing but positive things to say about this resort! The spa was the best I have ever been to! The scenery and serenity of the spa is unbeatable. Perfect relaxation! The rest of the property was just as spectacular. The pool was like something I have never seen before and the wait staff at the pool are very attentive! The property is very steep but no worries the staff is always available to shuttle you and your luggage all around the property and they were always very quick to arrive after our call. There is even a pillow menu next to your bed to make sure you sleep well and are satisfied. The resort is a bit far out of the city but that is what we wanted for this portion of our trip. I would recommend Panviman Chiang Mai to anyone and I hope to return!

You really have to be fit to stay at this resort as the roads between the reception, dining areas and rooms are exceptionally steep. Otherwise you rely on buggies to get around. The room was comfortable and views outstanding over the jungle. But we thought the food was average and expensive.

The hotel setting is on a hilly side of Mae Rim, Chiang Mai, it might not be good for those with knee or leg problems unless you are willing to wait for the buggy service, which is very slow due to not enough staff on site. I was expecting a decent stay here, but I found was a trashy/unacceptable experience!!!! Face clothes were not replaced to new one on the next day, shower cloth matt was not replaced but folded for reuse. This is a bit pricey hotel, but it was short in decent hygiene. To control the vehicle noise and amount of cars inside the resort, guests park their cars at entry below and will be picked by buggy service vehicle. Buggy golf, there are only two of them and two seaters, the rest are SUV. Door lock was still an old fashion instead of keycard for higher security. We were told it was on its way to be replaced, I guess it was a pandemic excuse! I would recommend to stay at Veranda Resort Hotel near by over this one.

Please accept our sincerest apologies for disappointing experiences with your stay at our resort. In the meantime, may we share some information and explanation to you and TripAdvisor’s fellows? For picking up services in the resort, we have 4 golf cars, 2 pick-up cars (4-WD) and 2 vans (9 seaters). Thus, we can only say that we have had run full operation with full staff in all departments since November 2021. For unhanged facial towel and shower cloth matt, we wish to advise that once we got a report from you regarding these issues, we immediately called for a meeting with staff concerned to investigate, then admonished and instructed the team to strictly follow the standard of room setting up. For the room key, may we inform you that we are in the process of changing standard key tag to key card. Please be informed that the key cards have been installed in all room at our Hotel No. 4 & No. 5. Once again, please accept our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience caused to you. We loved the Panviman so much, we went back a month or so later for another long weekend. Great customer service, stunning location and views, the food is very good, and the warm jacuzzi in addition to 2 swimming pools means you enjoy soaking year-round. Both trips we took a valley view room, which is well appointed, with a balcony and bathtub, nicely decorated, and very comfortable bed (much appreciated in SE Asia). We even had our choice of pillows off a pillow menu in the room. We will happily go back again and again.

I cannot say enough good things about this resort. Firstly, the location is up in the hills about 25 mins from Mae Rim, very quiet and peaceful. Secondly, all the staff were excellent and helpful. The rooms were large with a big terrace with a view of the mountains, all you can hear are the birds. The furnishings are of very good quality and comfortable, bathrooms with rain showers are great. Because of the distance and due to the resort built on a hill, they provide buggy rides. The architecture of the resort is really nice, the pools fantastic and the gardens very well kept. The buffet breakfast is excellent with lots of choices. On the slightly negative side, the main restaurant which has good views of the valley is a bit stale and lacks warmth and tasty decor which would be worth having a makeover. Overall, I hope not too long before I go back.

Panviman Spa Resort is a high price luxury resort located at a steep forest slope on the north side of Doi Suthep mountain. You park your car at the local road. Then an electric shuttle will bring you up to the main building on a small and steep road surrounded by tropic forest. The reception is located in beautiful hall in traditional lanna style. From there the shuttle will drive you to the building with your room. I guess there are about 10 buildings with about 4 or 6 rooms dispatched over the slope connected with really very steep roads. There are 3 zones in this huge area: in the middle the main building with reception and two restaurants, then the upper region with the hotel rooms and finely the lower part with the pools and spa and wellness area. All connected with small and very steep roads. All the facilities are embedded in this flourishing rich forest. Amazing! The disadvantage is that you will not walk from your room to the restaurants and back. You will take the shuttle like all other guests which makes you wait in the lobby or in your room for the next free shuttle. Imagine better times with more guests or even full house! Now you want to take a bath and enjoy this marvellous spa area. Take the shuttle (4 Person only) and drive there. And then you have to walk down 24 big steps to the highest of 3 levels. Then 21 steps to the second level and 10 steps to the lowest level. I am 71 years old - an age where you prefer an elevator. There is none! I am sorry but older people focus on safe walking. I think this is a big handicap of this beautiful location. Its only made for young and sporty people. Due to the bad economy the prices for this luxury hotel are very low which brings customers of another income level - like me. Food for dinner was good but not excellent and breakfast was rather cheap. But who will expect more when you think about the price you paid for. For me this visit at Panviman was like an open window into the world of 5 star hotels which I normally could not afford.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted the most magnificent view of the North of Chiang mai, the staff were exceptionally friendly and spoke fluent English, they assisted us with our check in, welcome drink and a golf cart ride up to our room. Our luxury suite had a beautiful private swimming pool that was perfect! This hotel has a wide variety of activities and we were really amazed by the 2 large swimming pools and jacuzzi! The food was impeccable and we even received a floating breakfast that was delivered timelessly to our room! It was delicious and we were provided with a large variety as well! We were really impressed with the kindness of the staff members who were incredibly helpful and professional, they made sure we were 100% satisfied at all times, giving us a tour of their new feature called the Star Dome, which we highly recommend spending a night there! Overall, this hotel is top quality in every spectrum, we would highly recommend it for both couples, solo and family travellers, Thank you Panviman Resort for a luxury and high quality experience, we will be sure to return very soon! I want to tell all of you honestly, this hotel so nice service and view. The room so clean and big. When I wake up in the morning the scenery so good like we wale up in top of the mountain. I saw the fog and saw another mountain from resort. I walk along the way and see many tree and green vegetable that they plant for cooking for guest. Breakfast also nice and dinner as well

Excellent view but that’s it! 1. Lack of staff bad service 2. Dated and old facilities and furnitures 3. Expensive food and not even tasty 4. Really horrible breakfast 5. No shuttle so you must pay at least 700 baht each way to go up 6. Heard the spa is rip off so didn’t try Overall I can feel the hotel is lack of funds so they’re trying to save every penny...

Dear Khun Wowwy, Very sad to hear that you had an unpleant experience during your recent stay. We apreciate your comments, but allow me to further explain, not intend to be an excuse as follows: 1. We employed 90 permanent staff plus another 10 temoraty staff for a hotel of 55 keys, one restaurant and Pool bar. The ratio is almost 2 staff for one room, this is truly 5 stars hospitality. 2. We're 13 years old hotel, old facilities and furnitures are natural condition, most importantly they are clean and functioning. 3. Majority of previous reviews said our restaurant's cuisine offers wide selections of food with good tase and reasonable prices. 4. Daily breakfast is buffet type with variety of choices for hot dishes from Western, Asian and Thai, a separate egg station with various selections, plenty of choices for cereal, fresh fruit, fruit juices, and yogurt. On buffet line, we have a good selections of breads and home grown vegetables and home-made dressing etc.... 5. Complimentary shuttle services between hotel and downtown is under consideration to offer, as we used to provide this services before the COVID 19 pandemic 6. Our Spa are well known for the best and reasonable price spa in Chiang Mai. Latest award given to Panviman Spa was the Regional Win in Best Spa Team 2020 awarded by the World Luxury Awards Again, thank you. We had an incredible day out at the pool at Panviman resort. It was a very reasonable price and the views were spectacular. We are planning our next trip out. Also the Spa had a great 50% off sale. I highly recommend this venue, it is very worth contacting them. The staff were very welcoming.
