Cast away from outside, hectic and busy day and stay in calm, natural-touch, good food and attentive service (most of the time). Our room is 1501, upper rice terrace with plenty of space and comfort bed. You can enjoy buffalo bathing, spa, Thai food, swimming and more activities. A few recommendation is to have butler to set Thai casual costume for buffalo bathing and change shower cap to higher quality.

I love the rice planting field, it makes me feel like I’m a rice farmer. There have lots of plants have been taken care of inside the resort, it seems that Four Seasons spent a lot for maintenance. I particularly love the resort activities such as buffalo bathing, it’s so cool and funny. I already miss the buffalo now. The employees are all so friendly, no matter from reception, restaurant or even housekeeping. I’m really appreciated for them. I got a very nice memory in Four Seasons Chiangmai

Spectacular visit, a rare opportunity to experience Architect Bill Bensley’s visionaries work come to life! Villas elevated on stilts touching the lush trees tops is magical giving the feeling you’re sleeping in a forest. Check-in was a 6 star experience. Extraordinary how they’ve managed to transform a simple passing-off of the key to a memorable first impression experience ( sit in comfy couch, cold drink, cold scented wash cloth, and a personal resort presentation of activities map and helpful directions). Room strategically designed giving you the feeling that you never want to leave. Bed was like sleeping in the clouds with pillows likely were made from years of research and development. Best ever! Bathroom filled with every toiletries possible including a razor and an air purifier. It was our first encounter with the shampoo soaps changed over to a non take-away type dispenser. Understandable but a missed opportunity I felt to discover the latest greatest new body lotion or shampoo/conditioner. Wished they slapped on a label so one could go out and purchase on their own. Closest convenience store (7-11) about a 5-10 min drive. Dine around, about 4 excellent restaurants within a 10 min drive, closest one walking distance from the property. Property is ultra peaceful and a therapeutic retreat for the weary. Wow moment - having our bellman ask us if he may take our bags after unpacking to dry them off from the rain. Breakfast is buffet style with everything one would expect. Most memorable impression; a lively /cheery professional staff. Fun plus! Property is about a 30 min drive from town passing independent shops, street food concessions, 7-11 and a horse ranch filled with over 50 horses. Highly recommend A+++!

Friendly staff and magnificent view I drove pass Mae Rim district to discover when I can enjoy beautiful sunset with big mountains. I checked online and I found one place is here. Actually, I need to find a nice shelter because those day is raining so hard. I stopped by 4 Seasons Chiangmai resort. It’s still beautiful even after Covid. I met many staffs there. They are so friendly even I can walk in guest. Anyway I would like to thank Mr. ABHI in pool area for exceptional service and friendliness. I going back to Norway. See you guys soon in next 6 months. Warmest regards, Ms. Bombay Lee.

Marina and Kenneth are the best in the hospitality industry that we have interacted with over 20 years of luxury travel. They are kind, generous, warm, knowledgeable, and hospitable. The entire staff is wonderful particularly at the breakfast and pool areas. I would like to just once again highlight Marina who we believe has an extraordinary bright future as she quite honestly made our trip a special and adventure filled occasion. Thank you to the four seasons for a great honeymoon - we can not wait to return and see you all again.

We were travelling with two kids and stayed in the four seasons residences. The rooms were beautifull decorated and very spacious. The service (private butler) is to the highest standards and the resorts gardens are a feast to the eyes. We took cooking classes, muay thai lessons (with the very kind and professional instructor Oh, who we can recommend), and went to several well organized excursions (hiking tracks to discover hidden temples in the Chiang Mai hills, shopping a.o). Summarized, we as a family experienced the Four Seasons Chiang Mai as the best and memorable place to stay if you want to visit the North side of Thailand.

As expected the stay was a very memorable one, the resort facilities and room condition are very well maintained. All the staffs from check-in to check-out are very polite and helpful. We are always greeted promptly when walking around the resort. We will like to mention during our checked in Kenneth was friendly and swiftly completed our check in. Pok, Alisa, Yu and all staffs at Khao are very attentive and friendly when we met them during our breakfast. We are already looking forward to return to the resort when we plan for our next holiday in Chiang Mai. Great resort and great people we met, thank you.

By far the best hotel we have ever stayed at. The peaceful and beautiful location is second to none. The staff are genuinely amazing and caring. The one downside is how far away it is from Chiang Mai. But it was so nice a place, we didn’t want to leave. Shame the complimentary bus shuttle not operating. But the staff did arrange a courtesy bus for one of our excursions. You must do the ‘rice planting’. Very interesting. Upgraded to a Private Pool Villa was unexpected and amazing.

Disclaimer - this is the first four seasons "resort" I've stayed in but it was such a relaxing, wonderful experience! Rooms can get quite cold so be sure to adjust the thermostat until you get the level you want. We had a garden room (Room 1203) with a veranda you walk out on, it had some very jungle vibes, I really liked it. Our other family members (Room 1501) had a second story room and their walk out veranda was AMAZING - view of the rice paddies and pool and the best place to watch the monsoon come in! The staff were able to add an extra cot for our 6 yo so she had her own bed, she was very excited about that. Room was big, with a large bathroom that had a shower and soaking tub. Our bathroom windows faced a decorative wall, but our family members said their faced a walkway so be sure to draw the curtains. Also - the bathroom toilet and shower doors are not as 'frosted' as you would probably like when a 6 yo runs in the use the toilet while you are showering (for instance). We used bath towels hung on the bars to cover the lower parts of the shower and toilet doors (if that's of interest to you). Mini bar is comparable with European/US prices for beer and liquor items. Heavily recommend their signature cocktail the Mae Rim Sunset which they usually have a bottle in your mini bar and serve this cocktail at the pool as well. Main restaurant (Khao) has both western and Thai food, we stuck to the Thai menu and everything we tried was amazing (Khao soi, omelet with crab, curries, sea bass, it was all good). They had some amazing thai inspired cocktails and desserts as well. Pool has good lunch food options and mocktails/cocktails. Pool has a shallower end where our 6 yo could stand with her head out of the water and when you hit the end of the stairs it goes deeper to 1.4 meters (over her head). There are two pools and upper and lower, we stayed mostly in the upper pool area. The resort has a lot of activity and spa options as well as a kids club where our daughter was able to do rice planting, batik, fish feeding, soft doll making, playing with clay, and tie dye. Most activities are complementary (except batik and soft doll which had a nominal extra cost). Our other family staying said this resort does not have as much 'going on' activity wise for guests but I was fine with the overall vibe of relaxation and tranquility - if that's what they were going for, they nailed it. It seems the resort is more about rest and rejuvenation than tons of activity and we loved it. In terms of location, the resort is actually quite far from town/the city (about 30-35 min) and there is not 'a lot' around the area of the resort - although there is a butterfly orchid farm sort of nearby. Usually they have a shuttle to the Sunday Night market but due to COVID that's been suspended, but they did arrange a van to take us down for 2000 baht (includes return to the resort) which was a great option since there were 5 of us. They can arrange smaller taxi transport as well if needed. Amazing views, unparalleled service, we were definitely sad to go - would definitely come back!
