Best winter vacation ever. Completely pristine snow, because it's not accessible by car in the winter. Every day, the staff planned a challenging hike to a different area, all featuring stunning views. The lodge itself was cozy and intimate, with a fire always in the fireplace. And the food ... amazing!

No large crowds, no phones, no TV, just spectacular and breathtaking views. It is the best place to get away from the stress of life and recharge. Lovely accommodations in the main lodge or the cabins by the lake. The food is fantastic and the staff very accommodating to dietary issues.

This is an amazing place. No public vehicle access. Many people hike in or walk in to camp. The park has a bus but it gets reserved early in the season. Lake O'Hara Lodge provides a very nice bus trip as part of the lodge reservation. We stayed in a cabin and it was amazing. Well built. Lots of wall...

This is a great place and is a must-visit for everyone who loves mountains and great hospitality! I took my 10 year old daughter and her two grandmothers. The hiking and mountains are truly beautiful - but what makes this a great experience is the friendly staff and the very high level of personal service!! Bruce and Allison and all...

We actually didn't get to stay at the Lodge but if one could afford it!! It would be on my list!. Extremely romantic lodge, very exclusive, remote and unplugged! The trails and lake were most incredible I have ever seen.

Lake O'Hara Lodge is in Yoho National Park just a short drive from Lake Louise. The lodge has 11 cabins along the lake shore, and several rooms in the lodge itself. It is one of the best-run properties we have ever stayed at. The view from the comfortable and well-appointed cabins is spectacular, the food at the lodge is simply...

We stayed here with our girls (11 & 7) and it was magnificent. We stayed in the Hasler Guide Cabin which was up above the Lake, but everything here is so beautiful that there are no bad views. Our hosts, Bruce and Allison were remarkable. They clearly set the tone with their staff and their guests and create a welcoming...

11 km ski in and out. Challenging uphill ski in as it is mostly uphill, took us under 4 hours. The lodge is a clean and comfortable home base for daily guided back country snowshoe or skiing. Our group was large enough that we had the lodge all to ourselves which is the best way to go. Beds were comfortable...

We visited during the Canadian summer. It was a different experience just getting to the lodge. Many hikes over the Rocky Mountains start from the lodge. Whilst we didn't complete them all they are worth the effort. Good level of fitness required. The lodge supplied a very nutritious trail mix and lunches when out and about on the trails. Delicious...

This has to be the jewel in the Rockies for hikers. Plus great food, exceptional hosts and staff! Because it's so popular you need to book well in advance, up to a year in some cases especially if you want a private cabin instead of a lodge room.
