Many dream of water vila stays like this, and compared to many others I have been lucky to had, and may other locations, this is a hidden gem due to the accessibility, and the cost. By resort standards it is nothing amazing, and below par. My room didn't appear clean upon arrival and I got the impression it was very... More

We spent two nights here at the end of a busy three weeks in Borneo. We were a party of 4 and had two villas. We had initiallybooked lagoon villas. On requiring about upgrades we were given a tour of different rooms and eventually decided to upgrade to two ocean villas at a cost of 400RM per room per night.... More

Good for a night and to experience, but it is overpriced. Went with the family, but there is limited to do and the water is not clear or clean enough to really enjoy it. The Eco did is good for a visit if you do stay.

This is a nice place and we had a good time however it is a bit overpriced. You are across from a busy harbour. There was lots of garbage in the water and we were there during an algae bloom. I was disappointed at the lack of opportunity to swim/snorkel but I realize the resort can't control algae blooms. That... More

This is a gem of a resort. Keeping my review short and to the point. Pros: - Easily accessible. One can catch a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Kinabalu (2.5 hrs journey). Then take a cab to the jesselton ferry point (15 minutes drive). They have an office there. Complimentary boat ride (20 minutes) at 13.30 hrs and 15.30... More

My partner and I stayed 3nights at Gayana Eco Resort recently on a promo (50% off 2nd and 3rd night). We stayed in an Ocean villa. We contemplated on staying in the ocean villa initially due to the price, but decided to go ahead and it was the best decision. There's no beach around (unless you hop on a boat... More

I am writing this feedback in relation to our recent stay at the Gayana Eco Resort. Let me start by explaining that this was a relaxing holiday for my wife's birthday. Prior to our arrival at the resort, I contacted the reservations team to request a car to the ferry from the airport and to ask for a cake to... More

I would like to thank Gayana and your staff for our stay between 25 may - 27 may. In particular, Christine and our trekking guide (Kendrick? Hendrick) helped made our stay a memorable one. Christine pro-actively found out more as to any request I had to make my stay a memorable one. She was very helpful in arranging a surprise... More

This resort is a very special place that gets under your skin, we went there for our honeymoon and we are the type of people who love to see places and explore but really needed the rest so went for that option. What we took with us in our hearts were the amazing staff and their genuine willingness to help... More
