Anyone traveling to the Slough/Heathrow area will know that hotel prices are very high, and it can be very hard to find a good hotel at reasonable prices. The Datchet Mead fits into this category; it offers real value for money - but do not expect luxury. I have no complaints whatsoever about the accommodation, the food, the staff -... More

Recently stayed here for three nights on Buisness , . Hotel could do with being updated I is looking tired and worn in lots of areas . Rooms especially . Breakfast was ok not self service though , I found it all a little greasy on all occasions. Staff are nice and friendly just could do with an update .

Lovely room with big comfy bed, great shower, brilliant breakfast and friendly service. Very near slough which is where I needed to be for business. Good wi fi reception with no password. Very close to motorway but got used to road noise and slept well

It looks abandoned from the road, not a good start. The door is always locked and you have to ring the bell. Just as we were about to walk away the door was answered by a man in his seventies who looked at us as though he had no idea why we were there. Reception is dark, not only because... More

Booked into this hotel on a recent business trip after a long tiring drive from the north. I was hoping to be able to relax & unwind in comfortable surroundings. unfortunately the hotel proved to be tired itself & unwelcoming. I was allocated a small drab room with poor bedding & almost no heating despite it being a very cold... More

My husband and I stayed at the Datchet Mead from 14th - 18th October 2014 as we were taking our family to Lego Land for 2 days (although they were staying with relatives of my daughter in law). We were delighted with the standards of cleanliness and comfort throughout - the meals were all freshly cooked by the mother in... More

The hotel has been updated, but not all over. The rooms are outdated, but still comfortable. The shower/toilet was so small that my husband refused to shower. The breakfast was just perfect and the breakfast lady even more perfect. It is very central to a lot of tourists locations (Windsor Castle can nearly be seen from your window) and by... More

My husband didn't check in here until 8pm on a busy Saturday evening. After a very long tiring day at the nearby sailing club with little food the staff at Datchet Mead were really friendly and welcoming. He knew that the restaurant is not open on a Saturday evening but they do bar snacks. He has leukaemia and needs to... More

This is a basic, converted pub, hotel with about 20 rooms. Run by a husband and wife team who are very friendly and keen to ensure you enjoy your stay. The rooms were clean but a little dated. Full English breakfast was among the best I have ever had, very freshly made and hot, plenty of toast! Very convenient for... More
